Yeah I have an auto tC (boo automatic, horray tC!) and it whistles to when I accelerate. I was driving someoen home the other day with the windows down and they were like sweet this thing has a turbo? I was like wtf no...then I realized the meant the whistle sound. Someone else just thought I needed WD-40 on the engine (this person isn't the smartest person I know.) Anyway I knid of liked it until today when I installed an Injen exhaust system...now I dont hear anymore (I miss you fake turbo whistle...)

I never heard the sound when I had the stock airbox in, I hear it ALL the time now since I installed my injen CAI.

I for one actually hate the sound, makes me sound like I have a belt squealing or something, like an old beater car.

If you get headers its harder to hear the whistle over the raspyness but I like the whistle much more than my raspy exhaust sound, and have also had people ask if I have turbo or supercharger not yet

ok so I hear that whistle actually when I let go of the accelerator... usually around 50 miles per hour and faster... is that the same whistle you guys are talking about? I was checking my whole driver's side door to see if it was wind noise!

No, you'll hear the whistle while on the accelerator during low rpms. You're most likely hearing wind noise from the glass roof, the rubber peices in between the glass sections tend to whistle.

I finally realized that you were talking about the WHINE and not the whistle. It really doesn't sound like a whistle at all. . . maybe it's just because I have an 07? I dunno. . .

It sounds like belt whine, and is slightly annoying. . . but I'm glad it's normal for this car.
