i just got mine installed today as well...well, technically yesterday...along with greddy front and rear upper strut bars....my car doesn't rattle at all at idle, but it rattles a little bit when the motor turns over after i start it. but partnered with the strut bars, it's already a fun car to drive.

I hated mine. I sold it along time ago. Just made my car sound like a lawnmower under the hood area

It is deffinetly helpfully, but it will in no way shape or form make your car faster at 60 MPH. Unless you have so much power, that when you floor it at 60, you get wheel hop.

All the stiffy is good for is to counter the engines natural rotation when launching the car EXTREMELY hard. This in turn prevents wheel hop, which will give you a better 60 Foot time at the drag strip.

The stiffy will not benefit you 99.99% of your driving time. UNLESS you drop the clutch at 3500 rpms at every stop light.

I hated mine. I replaced with Poly mounts and I'm much happier.

When i installed my ETD i only noticed that i could hear the engine a little louder, and at start-up there is a rattle. I think its a possibility that some people aren't installing it correctly/not putting the washers in the correct order. But thats just IMO.

Personally i like the ETD and i've had it installed for about 4 months now. However i can definately see that the rubber washer will need to be replaced in a few months because of the play btw the other two metal surfaces.

Overall, the ETD give you the impression that your car is more solid, but that might be because i also installed tires, lowering springs, EBC brake pads, and the TRD sway all at the same time.

Well I just installed mine about 2 hours ago and so far it's not to bad. If you like driving with the windows down and the AC/fan off then the only thing to note is the engine is louder and feels solid. now once you turn on the AC the car vibrates a lot. I know this is because I just put a direct link to the body of the car. I guess i'll see how things work out tonight when i go to the track and test all my new mods. I'll try and post a time slip once i do. Over all for the first few hours I think i'll live with it but we will see how i feel in a few months i guess.

Change the two end pieces with the ones from the DIY. Makes a big difference. I keep mine ay 11mm and I barly feel it even with the AC on. I took it off for 2 weeks to see if I wanted to keep it, and the car feels so much better with it on. I had it for the winter and yea it will crack but that goes away after it warms up 20 min or so. BTW if yours rattles, then something is not tight or it is installed wrong.

TeeCizzle, when you said it made the car faster at 60 mph i almost choked on my breakfast LOL

But yeah if you follow the DIY and get the reinforced rubber tank bolt washers and more rubber o-rings it should be much better.

Don't forget the dynamat either!

Quick question, anyone one here S/C'ed and think the stiffy is a must? not only will it reduce wheel hop but also prevent the motor from moving so muich adding more stress to the blower right?
