Man I'm totally jealous of you guys. New car and already got a S/C and turbo kits? wow

Was the guy with the T3/T4 turbo putting down 380hp on stock internals? How are your motors?

And a cold air intake on a turbocharged car is moot, period. At the temperature of the turbo its not going to matter if you're running cold air, open filter element, etc. Thats why theres really no hp gain on the WRXs for switching to a cold air intake.

well we know our motors the pistons start to crack where the rings set and head studs bolts strech witch is common on most vehiclas (all info thanks to zpi)

also there have been reports of the ecu componsaiting for a tune by a comcon basicly it goes back to a stock tune

but some impressive stuff has been done with the 2az from scion speed (wouldnt trust them tough) and zpi (our best forum sponser ready to help every one )

Because i have a celica and there are people putting out 430WHP, with a built motor...
So i was curious what kind of numbers people with the scion are running like on a stage 3 turbo setup...
Well based on HP alone, it is the Jotech Nitto tC rated at 533WHP. Be nice to know what times it puts down at a dragstrip.

As for active members on this board, the award goes to ZPI. I've seen video of their tC getting a 12.1 at the dragstrip. They should be in the 11's soon.
that was all there turbo kit though wasnt it no nitrous becosue i know one of there cars is running nitrous and i guess there new pistons also so he should be well in the the 11's now
That car is no longer ZPI affiliated. However, when the ZPI car went 12.1, you are right, it was all boost and no nitrous.

Its not "moot". If your turbo system is heating air 100 degree's and the pre-turbo air is 90 degree's then your final intake air temp is 190 degree's. If you have a cold air intake that is out of the engine bay heat, and your pre turbo air temps are 80 degrees, then your final air temp is 180 degree's. Obviously this is the simplest example, but you get the idea. The colder the air to start with, the colder the air to finish with. We all know cooler air makes more power.

Plus, I installed an Injen cold air intake on a 05 STi and the owner saw huge gains. Injen was claiming almost 30 whp I believe and we saw dyno charts of 22.

Hmm i don't know what you guys have against scionspeed. but by drag times the scionspeed tC ran 12.01. Wich is faster than the ZPI 12.1, as for the 3 consecutive run rule. Until I see a single run by ZPI faster than 12.01 scionspeed has the faster tC.

You guys We are not talking about customer service or business ethics here. The thread is "Who has the fastest tC" But your butt hurt selfishness aside and give credit where credit is due. Thier tC is faster than the ZPI tC.

They technically went QUICKER ONE time at the track. However, ZPI went one MPH FASTER so technically they have the FASTEST tC out of the two.

Also, it should be mentioned, the Scionspeed tC only ran that 12.01 once. It could have been some kind of fluke, like the air pressure for some reason got compressed in a moving column directly above the tC so the boost was actually turbo psi + 2 psi or something.

That's a farce, sure, but they haven't shown us that they can back up their 12.01 with a second run within .1 seconds.

ZPI has gotten to close to 12 at 12.11 several times. I think that ZPI can legitimately be called the fastest tC makers here.

Nitto, of course, has a faster tC.

Then nitto car went 12.85 we where told this face to face this weekend. More power and still an open diff means more spin.

We have went as fast as 117 in the 1/4 in our shop Flint Mica tC. We have not been quicker than 12.12. It is in the process of getting a cage and a stage 3 block and we will see what we can do.

Yeaaaa, I can't believe ZPI's car beat out the JoTech made car.

Uber props.

From what I saw, JoTech designed for A)Horsepower and B)Looks, not necessarily in that order. ZPI is going for straight-up speed. Makes a difference, although I too thought JoTech still would've edged them out with that monster.

mine is definately not the fastest, but I ran a 15.1 @ 90mph

I have the K&N CAI with the front vent removed, megan header, and TWM short shifter.. I had a 2.2 60' time on the stock potenza's.. I had a 1/4 tank of gas and it was about 65 degrees outside.

Les not forget the conditions of ZPI's runs. Thier exhaust set up was Turbo manifold > Downpipe > Nonthing. They were running an open downpiple while the scionspeed had thier complete custom dual exhaust set up. That 3 run back up rule is bleh. As we have no idea how many runs the scionspeed tC did before reaching 12.09, so its just ZPI trying to rain on Scion Speeds parade instead of just doing the human thing and say "Yah, nice run." Then asking for the tC to show its back up runs. Honestly we have no idea what scionspeed has done, But until I see the ZPI make faster than 12.09 once.. I could care less if they did it 3 times or 20. Just once. Scion speed has the faster tC.

Titan Motorsports has the fastest tC..... 6.44 @ 218

but its RWD
I don't think that counts. It probably doesn't even look like a scion anymore or even have a toyta engine. There are 6-second cars with lots of "styling queues" but often times they don't even use the stock unibody, let alone drivetrain.

Well lets see, the amount of fuel in your tank, the air outside, the wind gusts at the moment of the run, the condition of the rubber on the car and the tire pressure, the weight of the driver, the engine temp of the car when it ran, the condition of the clutch, the elevation of the particular track (if they were at different places), the stickyness of the lane and the driver's skill all make differences that can result in .1s To difinitively call the Scion speed car the fastest Tc is B.S. I would however say that it has gone the fastest time.

I would take a heads up race with their tC at any time for a decently sized change purse. I wonder why you cant view their fastest timeslip on their website. I mean, there is a listing and you can view all the rest of them. :dunno:

Charles

P.S. Not to mention that SS had full suspension, a *** LSD ***, under weight car do to lightweight interior parts, along with a long list of other things that include a MUCH larger turbo and MORE boost. I mean, I dont want to say that a 12 second run with all the mods they had at the time sucks, but yeah, it does. Plain and simple.
