Do you have any mods?
How many miles?
How was your break in period?
Tires properly inflated?
Changed wheels?
Do you press the pedal to the floor to accelerate (even to go slow)?
Any engine issues at all?

This is only the second tank of gas I've filled up in it.
I don't think I drive too crazy, and for sure im not stomping on the pedal (cars way to fast for that)
I take turns at fast speeds as to not have to brake and what not.
Man, my 4 cylinder 92 camry gave me better gas mileage.

LoL I hope my math isnt bad, otherwise I have othhhhhhhhhhher problems to worry about.
Im using the onboard trip computer to calculate how far i am traveling. What I may do is drive a set distance every day and try to see if maybe my mileage is not comming in correctly. I need to have more supporting evidence. Also going to check my air filter, oil level and what not.

to me it seems that only auto tC's are gettin ____ty mileage because i used to...
i started to get like 22-24mpg mostly highway driving, then it dropped to 20-21, and for a while it was at 18mpg..
then i put an intake on and it went up to like 20mpg, stayed at that even after i took the intake off it stayed their...
then i put an axle back on to increase my mpg and now i get anywhere from 24-26mpg, mostly city, so im pretty happy
and its not always the case that hte person is always at WOT or doesnt know how to drive so PLEASE do not assume that, cuz it fukin ____es me off when i used to tell my dealer i got bad mpg and they said lay off the gas
I WANTED TO KICK THEM IN THE NUTS *cartman*

The next person that say's lay off the gas is going to see how it feels when I really shove my foot if you catch my drift.
My tC is an automatic and I've been very particular about resetting the trip computer right when I fill the tank, and also fully filling the tank.
Last time my trip was at 204 miles and I refilled the tank with 12.24 gallons of gas. I refilled my car within 10 miles of the gas light comming on. Since the tank is 14.5 gallons does everyone else's gas light come on at around the same level?
Also, I am using gas that "may" contain up to 10% ethanol.
However, I was still looking for at most a 10% decrease in fuel efficiency. But even a 10% decrease would only be cause if ethanol was not a fuel.
I am also driving the speed limit 95% of the time, and that other 5% is never more than 10 miles per hour above the speed limit. Like I said previousely I am driving relatively short distances quite often. I may take my car for a little trip and drive around for a good hour or two and check out the mileage on the longer and mixed driving trip.

only filled it up once so far, on the tank from the dealer i had 19 mpg, strictly city for me... almost done with me second tank, got 390 on the odometer... still smells fresh and new!!!

If you are doing a lot of city driving, or driving that requires lots of stop and go... you ARE going to see lower mileage.
If you are seeing less than 20 mpg and are certain that you calculated correctly, are not slamming on the gas right away, and then slamming on the brakes, then on the gas..etc. then CHECK YOUR CAR OUT... something's not quite right.

Wow. My gas light consistently comes on between 355-370 miles on a tank of gas. 12.5 gallons is how much i usually put in when i fill up, but when i run it too 400 miles i put in damn close to 14 gallons. I use premium gas if it really makes a difference. I like to think so.
Im a fast driver. Always around 60on rural/back roads sometimes 70. On highways I hit 80-90 mph. I dont stomp on the gas when accellerating from a dead stop. And I shift at about 3,500 rpm's

I used to live in Plano and I know traffic your area has dramatically increased in the past 10 years, but it's no where near as bad as L.A. were I used to drive a S-10 getting 17 mpg in the city. E-10 gas has been year-round for nearly 2 years here and I get a little over 24 mpg in a 5-speed driving mostly city.
It sounds like you have a mechanical issue if it's not a lead foot.

are you always getting gas from the same gas stations? if so try a different one...
HESS sucks, it's like fumes! the last time I got hess was in the mid 90's... and since then I have learned that there gas seems to evaporate in my tank or something...
sunoco, bp and lukkoil tend to give me good mpg, and one tank of Shell actually gave me good mpg too!
Since it's up to 3 dollars a gallon at times here, I drive around 60 - 65 =X but heck the ~37 mpg is worth it for the 55 mile daily commute it all adds up...
I get 34 mpg at 75 - 80 mph...
