I'm gonna have to shamefully admit, I too like the whistle. Infact I'm pretty sure it's a ploy of the oil industry to make me use more gas because I like to step on the throttle just to hear it. So how do I make it louder, step by step would be nice. Is it reversable if I do it and it's obnoxious?

I know. And you would too if you read my post:
It's the sound the air makes going through the intake. Aftermarket intakes normally make this sound, and Scion designed the stock intake to make a similar sound.

the whistling sound comes from air russhing through the throttle body at a given speed. and it is louder with the k&n cai. i liked it at first but now its just getting annoying.
