Default xrs 08 and tc 08

i already know the diff between the 05-06 tc and the 07-08. but i want to know if you guys have any info on the new xrs that has our same engine. went to the dealer yesterday and i saw that the revs go higher (6,500rpm) than the tc (6,200). i wonder if they have better cams, higher cam profile, if you guys have any info please share.
thanks

^ the 07+ tC's cut out at 6500 RPM too.

it's just that redline on the tach shows 6200 RPM because it uses the same piece from the older tC's.

Each engine has the 6500 rpm fuel cut.

Confirmed by 'max rpm' on scangauge, which reports what the ECU records.

my friends 06 hit the rev limiter at 6500 actually it hopped on it. my 07 hits the rev limiter at 6500 and does that fuel cut crap to where it drops down to like 5 or so and kinda waves there. dumb IMO. id rather the tc. im pretty sure its lighter. now the old xrs is about 150 lbs lighter though so idk.

That's weird cause my 2009 doesn't stop engine acceleration until 6750 or 6800 rpm indicated.....

My Saturn hits fuel cut at 6750 rpm but its loud above 4500 rpm so I shift by ear most of the time and I just glance at the gauge when nearing redline. The tc is so quiet at those speeds I went all the way to fuel cut once by accident, only time I've done it. I've been racing(track) and driving a manual for a long time, but I guess you get used to the sounds your engine makes and changes upset things occasionally. Now I'm much more careful.

Has anyone else seen their engine rev so high before fuel cut? I kind of thought it was cool that there was a bit of over rev potential, though I try never to use it since power drops off before that.
