Default ZPI o2 sim

I just installed mine this morning and its not working for some reason, i think maybe the ground came loose on my way to work, but i'm not 100% sure. I'm going to get up early tomorrow and check everything... also there are two white wires could it be that the one i tapped into is the wrong one? I had every thing hooked up and the LED was flashing with the key on, but on my way to work the CEL came back on...

any suggestions?

and yes i disconnected the battery cable prior to installation and put it back on afterwards

What header are you running?

I am getting the same issue and am on the second try with another ZPI o2 sim they sent me. Both Blink, Both I KNOW are securely connected, and I still get a CEL.

PM ME.

Alphawerks, i see you have the megan racing so that's not the problem.... at least not a common problem anyways... maybe they got a bad batch of sims?

i don't know, or it could be user error on both our parts...

oh well, hopefully i'll get mine working in the morning

sorry man... i think its the whole 'wire in' vs. 'plug and play' thing... i don' t know if they switched vendors or whatever but they used to have a plug and play unit that supposedly worked better... anyways....

I got up early and re-wired it (although the first wiring was SOLID) and re-grounded it in a better/cleaner position and i still have the blinking light so hopefully this time it works. If it doesn't work this time, I'm going to have the auto parts store check the codes and see if indeed that o2 or some other problem before I call ZPI to get a new one.

Default O2 sim

Make your own for about $5. I did this and it works fine. I used it to bypass my rear O2 as I am running a supercharger. I was able to tap my wires inside the car. The rear O2s wires run into the transmission hump right behind my shifter. All you do is cut one wire and splice into another. Here is a link how to do it.

oh i was still under the impression that zpi was still selling the plug and play one..now we have to wire it? and the antifouler works for some people but not all. yeh its cheap and worth a try but sometimes the CEL comes back on after some mileage is put on.

We think we got a bad set of SIMS the first 30 we sold we have had no problem what so ever. The last 5 we now have had 2 defects. The Sims work if you have one that is not working double check the wiring and then call us and we will get youa new one.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE PUTTING THIS ON THE SECOND 02 SENSOR

We have had a few customers place this on the front A/F sensor very costly miastake.

You don't replace the primary o2's, you always run those. The secondary o2's are replcaed with sims when you don't run a cat.

Codes are thrown by the rear o2 sensor, the front o2 sensor is what your ecu uses to deliver proper fuel ratiors to your car.
