Default ZPI s-pipe Dyno run w results and *pics*

The details real quick: 05 tC, manual transmission, DC Sports header, Magnaflow cat and DC Axle back and NO CAI.

The ZPI s-pipe was a breeze to install, everything lined upped correctly, the factory donut fit perfectly with the flared front end. The rear gasket fit and all hardware included was good. Install time roughly 30 minutes, slightly longer due to the Kaminari body kit and getting under it.

CONS: If you consider this a con, NO MORE anti-fouler VS the A/F sensor tight position further back makes it hard for people like me who are 6’ 3” and have Hulk hands! LOL!

Dynoconp2 located in Scottsdale Arizona is my tuner, they use a Dyno Dynamics 4 wheel dynamometer. Richard the owner of Dynocomp2, racers for Subaru and tunes a good number of rally and road coarse cars 2/4 wheel drive in the desert region. The Dyno is brutally accurate and nick named the “heart breaker”, the truth hurts.

The s-pipe showed consist improvement in torque and WHP. Torque was improved by 4–6 lbs consistently. The s-pipe increased horse power by 2-3whp approaching 4500 RPM, from here 4-8whp up to red line. Enjoy!

Install is easy..4 nuts/bolts total. If you dont have a header or exhaust you wont see much in the way of gains. I didnt even notice much when I installed my CC s-pipe and I have a header. It wont throw a CEL if you have the stock exhaust manifold. If you want one then contact ZPI direct.

That's one of the most beautiful tCs I've ever seen.

Those are pretty good gains considering you don't have a CAI or Catback exhaust. Also those are 18s 19s?

Thanks for the props, the tC is a blast to work on.

You can purchase one as I did from ZPI at the link I have listed, http://zpiracing.net/

I have the DC header, this throws the Cell which requires “anti-foulers” to be installed. The stock sensor is mounted further forward on the pipe, accessing the sensor has more room to work with. The ZPI sensor is mounted farther back on the pipe placing it over the cross member, the amount of room in here is reduced. The sensor is moved back farther so the CEL will not be triggered.

Nice gains. Car looks good.

I thought the s-pipe was mandrel bent? Thought I read that somewhere but I could be wrong.

I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it. As smooth as the bends are they are not going to disrupt flow anyway so it doesn't really matter. Just commenting on it. They are in fact not mandrel bent. You can see the crush lines on the pipe. Mandrel bent pipes are bent from the inside and dont have the crush lines that those pipes have.

Like I said, it doesnt matter though. The bends are seemless and thats all that really matters.

You have more experience with it than I have since Ive never seen one in person, but if they arent mandrel bends, then those are the best looking crush bends Ive ever seen.
