Default ZPI Scion Shootout

We would like to gauge interest in having a Scion Shootout. We have been talking to the local drag way and this is what we have came up with.

We would hold it on a Sunday in Louisville, looking at mid-late August. We just wanted to see what type of interest there would be in attendance. If we feel that this will be some what of a success then we will go ahead and finalize a date. Intial plans are as follows please post up any ideas or suggestions as none of this is locked in stone.

• Car show
• 1/8 mile drag racing
• Burnout contest? 1 wheel burnouts
• Swimsuit competition?
• Open house at our shop in the morning, event to start 1-2pm…………

The other thought was to do a car show one day and drag racing the next. Please post up thoughts or concerns. Would you all be willing to drive in for an event on Sun? Or does this conflict with work schedules on Monday, enough notice to get off?

well if this is gonna start in the morning then there would definatly need to have a night stay saturday night. hotel info would be needed. i know most places need a few months in advance for vacation. when are you guys looking todo this? also i wouldnt bank so much on having a car show since most people that would come would be driving for awhile. from va beach its a 10 hr drive. i would have more like a meet and greet type deal and people can shopw off the cars but not have a judgeing contest. idk just my .02 would there be a raffle of some sort? im just throwing out ideas.

haha it was a joke. I'm sooo not into seeing that stuff. LOL! I would rather see girls in swimsuits.. but don't ask me to do it.

Back on subject are you going to make this a weekend long event or just one day.
Can you secure the track for a Saturday? This would help if people were driving a distance.
Are there enough hotels close to the track for people to stay overnight and can they give any discounts if alot of people come out?

Seems like it would be a better idea to maybe have the meet at Beechbend or Clay City, since your FWD turbo's are going to perform much more impressively in the 1/4.
