ZPI spipe problem, please help.
I have a zpi spipe. I installed it and found it was about 1 inch lower than any other part of the car. I posted a while ago about this problem but peolple said they did not see the same problem. I think there may be som bad bends. Its one off the first v.2 pipes. My consern was any time you bottom out your spipe is dead. So finally the damage is pretty bad. So now I have pics. I was about to buy the midpipe but this is crazy. Think this is a bad pipe or normal pipe.

What suspension are you running? We have H-techs, and I have never bottomed out on the S-pipe. My boy Clayton is TRD springs, and he has a full ZPI exhaust, he has never spoke of bottoming out.
It would help more if this was not in the F/I section...

You should read a brothers profile. I posted my consernse the day I installed but no one gave a ____. Now I'm looking to buy the zpi midpipe but whats the point if I have to replace the spipe once a week.
To all with the zpi spipee...do you have the same situation or is my pipe bogus.

Schuller, how long ago was this S-pipe installed? Cause I'm racking my brain, and I can't remember if the S-pipe went through a re-design phase a while ago. And how did you install it? Would it be possible to get pics of where your S-pipe meets your header?

No big deal but if you pay 225.00 for a pipe that gets mashed every time you hover over a dip? Hoping zpi will replce. I'm about to get the zpi midpipe. But whats the oint if u trash hyour spipe evey
By the looks of your pipe; seems like you ran something big over; unless you consider pot holes dips. I doubt ZPI will replace that but who knows maybe they will; either way good luck. XD

I'm sure Kenny will work with you ESPECIALLY since you are considering getting their Mid-pipe. Money talks...BS walks...LOL. Anyhow, contact him tomorrow, as they should be back from Atl. now.

hey bro, my zpi s-pipe hangs low like that too.. and im dropped pretty low.
i just installed it today.. it actually made my exhaust sound better than before.
btw, did zpi provide you with a gasket to go in between the header to s-pipe connection? im not sure if i have a leak or not.. i started it up and felt for air.. and i THINK i felt loose air but maybe that was just some heat.. i just used the gasket that was on the stock header (i still use my stock headers)..
but besides that, my s-pipe hangs low exactly like yours..

i doubt they supply an o ring but you should never re use those, EVER... So do what you like with that info, if you get it from toyota its not cheap, you can get an ol' o ring for a 2.25" flange and be ok, check your local parts store and they should have one for ya

The spipe does not have the proper flang to allow the pipes to pivot where the spipe and header meet so do not get a new gasket. The spipe just digs into the gasket. Its a pretty pathetic design IMO. Be carefull the bolts can back out easily.
