Here is how zpi designed the spipe gasket to be used. Notice the part that should pivot in the spipe fange at the header. You could probably put a rolled up piece of cat ____ in there. It will seal but never pivot. Bolts never get properly tight because your just crushing into the gasket. Here is a pic of the new gasket I used. Wasted 30 bills. This is also 1 off the resons tnetics has my 4400.00 and not zpi.

I would assume built to zpi specs. Pipe works great on the track but say good buy on the street. It will get trashed if your lowered. I was considering welding something on to protect it.

God I love all the "EXPERT" analyzing of pipe design.....this cracks me up. Then again, EVERYONE on SL is an EXPERT, yet none produce parts themselves.

Gotta love all the :

Oh this is poor design, oh that wasn't made right, I can do better...blah blah blah. Wouldn't there be multiple people with ZPI s-pipes wagering in on how their is just so POOOOORRRLLLY designed?

What a load of cow dung.

Lets use some common sense here... Your lowered on S-techs, one of the most aggressive springs on the market. The S-pipe EVEN in stock form is one of the lowest parts of the car period. As far as we know bro, you could have hit a Pot hole, went up the driveway the wrong way, or ran over a dead animal. But how ironic is it that instead of owning up to any mistake you might have made (as you HAVE to drive a lowered car differently), instead you choose to try and pass it off as a poor designed product.....wow.

im not sure if its a leak or not.. but when you accelerate once you start up the car, do you hear "air" coming out from the pipings? i've never heard it before until i installed the s-pipe. maybe it's just more airflow?

Get some new nuts, washers and bolts. Bolt it through the header and use two nuts per bolt. Thats what Kenny told me to do when mine arrived with the wrong hardware. This way it won't back out again. This must be a feature of the pipe.
