SO how much was this custom install if you dont mind me asking?
Cause i was wondering how much does professional labor usually cost, since there are not many rep. shops here in missouri, might just be worth the drive, unless i can get like a scion club group turbo instal day setup somehow ^_^
anyway congrats and have a blast, and hopefully i will join the turbo tc group soon.

I join the I HATE YOU club too. you lucky bastard. Im wondering anxiously too on the $$ tag for install and everything but im sure it'll be kept conifdential. The kit looks very impressive and the hidden FMIC look is what Im looking for as well. Great Job ZPI!!!

correct me if Im wrong ZPI but it seems that you changed your exhaust manifold design. Not bashing but, I when I spoke to you at edgewater you mentioned that the wastegate knocked into the hood on your stage 1 car, so I guess you just re designed it for the extra clearance. Sorry if I gave it away, but it was on my mind

Im glad to see that since your warning about us, all of the talk about how we were going to skip town and leave with peoples money, how we were just out to screw people and that all of our products are junk, have not been fulfilled on our parts that you still have decided not to give up on the fight and continue to try and find something wrong. Your personal motivation to our demise has done nothing more then motivate us to be sure we go above and beyond the bland standards.
The coupler in question is one that often comes with most any DSM front mount kit. Its a reducing bend coupler that is often used to come off the 16G turbos to a larger intercooler pipe.

I have never seen a "coupler" come with Mitsubishi turbo kits for the 16g. Every 16g on our cars runs a J pipe, which snakes back down, and then uses a STRAIGHT coupler, with the coupler actually being positioned straight, to connect the the lower intercooler pipe.
Here is a pic, even labeled nicely so even you can understand what I just said. Notice how the coupler will be straight, and not pinched.

i understand the logic of leaving the turbo in the same place, so you can help with people that buy stage 0, then later upgrade. but then again, no pipes will be the same, as the stage 0 non-FMIC will be hot-piped where the stage 1 with FMIC will not. Therefore you can clock the turbo down and just have a 90 degree bend to go to the FMIC. I guess you don't want to have to deal with customers having to deal with clocking a turbo, but then again, these guys have to learn sometime about all the stuff they bolt up to thier car.
although, other than that one little piping issue, the intake looks sooo much better than before and alot of the other stuff looks prety smooth.
