ZPIracing review on the Ingalls "Stiffy"
We wanted to let you all know our opinion on the Ingalls Stiffy mount. Ingalls called us wanting to know if we would test out there new product and give them and the rest of the world our opinion. We agreed and informed them that we are not the best to do this as we are hard on parts and give our honest opinion on the net and they may not be what they want others to hear. They said they could handle it and they where sending one out.
Anyway enough with the story on the part, I know that Paul has already done a great review and this is not that. This is more of our opinion and what we think of it on a 380whp car. We put this on our silver car after we got back from Orlando to test this part. Mind you that we broke the “other” brands in less than 10 minutes we cracked the bracket in 3 dyno pulls. We were skeptical to say the least.
We put this on the car and took it out around the block. The car instantly feels so much tighter that it feels more like a 350z. The car does make some noise now not sure what this noise will be like on a less powerful car but on our tC there is defiantly some audible proof that it is working. We did not notice any vibrations as some have complained about but we did opt for the dynamat option.
We then performed the burn out video that you all have come to love with the Stiffy on the car. It did not break we have put over a thousand miles on the car with it and no complaints.
Our total take is this….If you are serious about power you need this part. If you have or plan on having a turbo kit, supercharger or more parts than an intake you need this part. I would say that this will yield quicker ¼ miles time than any other part out there this side of a turbo kit. The engine movement has stopped and negative affects of such have to. We have experienced 6+ inches of travel on the dyno and this has eliminated the problem all together. No more worrying about intercooler pipes, wheel hop, etc….
Thanks
Oh and please note all test have the stiffy at full stiffness

I gotta say that while motor mounts are theoretically better, the WeaponR/Ingalls dampers do a damn good job at securing the motor and putting down all of the power. Another nice feature is that they are easily removed if you get tired of the cabin noise or minor vibrations...if you have any...where motor mounts are more or less permanent.

I must say that the Stiffy is my favorite mod ever! Made a difference more than anything else Ive put on my car. It seems like its gotten better too since the first time I put it on. Mine is at maximum stiffness and vibrations are only felt when I first start rolling but I like it in a way. I like everything about this product and the engine sound has completely changed. Its like I can hear everything going on in the engine. Great product here!
