No oil leak though.

as far as I know its only one guy doing the installs..Kingston If I were you I would call them up and tell them what is going on and what you have heard from others online that theres a good chance that the reason why our seals are blowing could be due to a faulty install by overtourqing the allen bolts on the shaft assembly

I just changed my oil sat. and found that there is a leak around the bottom of the shaft dripping down the heatshield.
Everything on this s/c was stock. No headers, no pully, and no aftermaret BPV.
I'm guessing that the mechanic did not tighten the three allen bolts correctly or a bad seals.
3000 miles with the S/C.

Just hope to God your dealership is cool as mine. The whole assembly has to be replaced: compressor housing all the way to the pulley, at least that's what TRD did for my car with the dealship techs. One thing to add is my S/C got really loud as far as the rattling noice at idle, I think it was always loud. My new one is much quieter, at idle that is. If nothing else, give a call to ZPI. They know some good people that might be able to work on the S/C. They also have a pretty good relationship with Toyota. If it blows on me again, I'm going turbo. None of us should have to worry at all about the s/c going bad. I find it kind of stupid that those of us with S/C'ers are more concerned with that being reliable than the actual motor.
This thing should be designed to take revs and heat, that's what comes with F/I. So to say a pulley or a header was the cause of anything that damaged the s/c is very disappointing. I'm getting a little depressed thinking about this whole s/c seal thing so I'm going to shut up now and wish all you s/c owners the best of luck.

ok bumping htis back up. i have an oil leak also. stock TRD s/c setup.
so the problem is rooted from the manufacturer, thats a given.
could be b/c of something simple like them not priming/lubing up the oil seal prior to assembling it? all they have to do is dip the seal in oil and its primed and ready. if they didnt prime it, the seal will leak overtime. thats the only reason i can come up with.
i wish they sold the seals individually so i can fix this myself.
its similar to axle seals, u dont prime it, hello tranny fluid leak.

I thought the SC was going to be a set it an forget it deal. I sort of feel bad for the folks with modded SC. Cause they are basically screwed if any issues prop up. It appears it just a matter of time before the other SC crap out. First seals, then brackets -I'm sure there will be more issues latter.

Again, It all depends how cool you're dealers are
I wrote TRD a long detailed e-mail when it happened to me and my S/C was stock and unmodified, no header either. I basicly expressed my disappoinment and asked what they planned to do with unit to prevent future failure in a professional manner. You want to know what I got back.. nothing
I thought the same thing when I bought the S/C, just drop it in and forget it. I thought this would hold up for the majority of the life of the car or at least the block for that matter. Well maybe I had a "lemon." That's why when I sell my S/C, I'm going to sell it cheap. Last thing I need is someone harassing me about why I sold them a crappy S/C.
