Ok,

I got an email from James, driver of the Takata Time Attack Sti that the footage of the Ptuning tC crashing in the carousel at summit points is now up on youtube.

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nkKwZHN1As

Damn! Ross was coming hard. Hey Ross, did the carousel sorta sling shot you out? Look like it launched you into a B-line for the wall.

No, but it did make it impossible to avoid the crash, since he damn near hopped straight out of it into the grass. It looks to me like he just got on the gas too early in the carousel and the car wasn't settled enough, so he lost all traction and went straight on. Glad he's alright, looking at that, though. That's build quality right there.

I've explained it to many people, and from what i remember i got greedy and kept my foot in it WAY to long. I was carrying way to much speed and once I hit the brakes it was all over, and i was going for a ride. Now that I look at it, i realize how sloppy my driving was and i wonder if i could have saved the car. Once i was in the bowl, it was over, with the speed i was going, it launched me straight out, into the grass. Since the nice Toyo r888's have no traction in the grass I could not stop before the wall.

I know the guys at PTuning are running around the clock to get the car ready for VIR, but we are going to need a lot of luck to get V3.0 out in time.

Thanks everyone for you support, it means the world to us!

This just makes your run for the championship even more exciting and dramatic. It'd be boring if you guys just coasted to victory.

Little update, Car is back at the shop, and the strut tower was messed up. Had the cage not been in place, the guy at the shop said the car would have been totaled for sure.

hehe, I LOVE that cage!!!

it's foam core carbon fiber. We ordered the material , then Mr. C came up with the design, and we made the mounting brackets... everything is custom.

the core is from Kognition motorsports, and its SUPER strong. It was the only think that survived the impact. However, it is a little pricey.
