^^then stick with a 2.5inch. 3inch will be to big for you at only 300whp.

I know, I really just curious as to weather it's a DP back or Header back, it said both in Jesters video? haha

Hate to disagree with you AGAIN... BUT...

I ran 3" downpipe and full 3" exhaust on my 300 HP tC and it ran much better than it did with the 2.5".

General rule of thumb... if your boosted, open downpipe is best, and the bigger the exhaust the better.

The turbo is your back pressure and no amount of exhaust behind it will ever be able to flow what the turbo can push out.

I have to agree with dyltone on this one. I have not seen any proof (dynos) that show less power being made on a turbocharged tC with 3" piping versus 2.5", especially pumping 300hp.

Which dyno did you use to compare the two....Butt Dyno, or Real Dyno?

Actually I used another car as my benchmark. I had a friend with an SRT that I was pretty much equal to with my open wastegate and 2.5 inch exhaust and when I went recirculated wastegate (less power) and full 3 inch exhaust (more power), I walked him pretty well. This was a few races on a Friday night, exhaust on Saturday morning, then a few races Saturday night so not a whole lot changed except the date and maybe a degree or two.

As far as the butt dyno, my car probably felt slower with the new exhaust because I recirculated the wastegate and the car was MUCH quieter with the 3" exhaust. BTW... the new exhaust was 3", mandrel bent, 1 resonator, no muffler. My car was quieter than it was stock with just the Borla Axle back.

It makes sense really, you want the backpressure to be in the turbo to help spooling, but not afterwards as to not have backpressure on both ends... Causing lag when you're trying to get rid of it. But also at a certain point there is a optimal size to big/to small. IMO... IDK what size that is? You both could be right or wrong.

Would that small and slim muffler pass inspection in states that do a visual undercarriage check?

Also, it would be perfect if they can make it a dual exhaust just by using a Y section.
