Default *HELP* AEM/FIC & GAUGE INSTALL. *HELP*

i have a few questions....

first..

-There is a white wire with a Blue Stripe on it coming from the FIC and i was wondering what it is, and what it goes to.

Second..

-I also was wondering where i hook up the serial wire from the gauges.

Third...

-Where Do i get the 5volt Tap?

thank you for your help.

there is a brown wire on the smaller of the 2 F/IC connectors that says 5V in, that is where the white (not striped) wire from the 4 pin connector on the UEGO gauge needs to be connected.

on the boomslang PnP harness, it is the free orange wire

according to the manual the solid white wire is the 0-5v analog output and the blue is for a serial connection (where you have to pin it into a rs232 connector, pin 2, pin 5 needs to be grounded if doing this type of connection)

the white wire with blue strip comeing from the boomslang harness is for data logging...you run that wire to a switch, then you run a wire from the other side of the switch to a ground...open fic program...click on set up....click on system...click on data logging..so anytime the switch is turned on the fic will start data logging...ther is also a window to set up the parameters of how many measurements it takes in a certain period of time and when the data log starts and ends...

its only used for data logging or to switch between two maps...it only serves those functions...in other words if you dont want to data log or use duel maps then leave it alone...

so i went to the aem power forum and they said that the white wire coming from the ugeo is supposed to go into the 18pin on the 22pin connector. if i read the diagram right i don't have a wire there at all.

lol, but they didnt include the wire on the smaller connector?

did you get the original AEM harness (the one that doesn't have the sockets for the ECU plugs)? if so, just use a small screwdriver to take out the brown wire for the 0-5v in and put it on the connector from dezod's harness

no, you just got a PnP harness and did not receive the one from AEM for the F/IC. can you post up a pic of the smaller connector that plugs into the F/IC?
