congrats on the great buy! i went to my local toyota dealership today and they still have the old price for the kit. they even told me that the install would run them about 10 hours so about 900 to 1200 to install. welcome to f.i.

not quite.. you have to show you love someone to get some, and a vending machine ring definatley isnt a sign of love.

WOW. Thats the proof positive i need. Servco still told me that the price was 3200 and that the bulliten i saw looked to be true but Toyota is very bad about getting information out to the dealers.

He put in the part number and nothing came up to tell them that yes this part is selling at this price point. I guess i will have to make another stop by the dealership and present that invoice with the part number. That should act as more proof positive to Servco. This shall be interesting for Hawaii.

BTW since Servco wants 4k for the supercharger and install, and its regulary 3200 MSRP..... and now its 2130.... I dare them to tell me the supercharger is 3k to buy and install now. They need to explain another hundred dollars of work for the same crap. But i have a feeling that will happen. Cuz they will not be happy over me pulling this piece of information out to use for the supercharger.

Well I can tell you that we just confirmed that this is true. The only bad part about it for S.E.T. dealers is they won't let us order any of the new reduced price S/C's because they still have quite a few of the old ones.

The only differences are that the new S/C has the new tamper proof bolt on it. We've been told that it is a nylon head bolt and cannot be removed. (I'm sure someone will figure out how eventually) The bolts are also not for sale individually. Just thought I'd share this info with you guys.

i just dropped my car off at maita toyota for the s/c install. i even got them to throw in a free 07 camry rental for the day. so minus the fluid changes and the rental and the install really comes to bout $700 only i think. thats getting better.

Where? I don't see it there.
But if it is, does that mean it's for 07 and 08 models as well?

http://www.scion.com/#tCAccessories_...RDSuperCharger

And they make them for the 07-08s, but the price drop is only the 05-06 kit.

i got it installed yesterday. they forgot to do a couple of things tho. they forgot to change the coolant. one of the tubes from the s/c didn't have a clamp on it and looked like it was coming loose. the + battery cable was pinched in between the battery and s/c compressor. they forgot to put back my cowl clips. performance wise i can't say yet. im going to break it in for a lil while first. during normal driving i can't even tell a difference from when i didn't have s/c. is this normal? i will try to punch it when it is broken in and see how the difference is. oh yea and the best part is when i was coming home from picking up the car from the dealership i hit a blown big rig tire and messed up my front bumper and lip kit. gonna cost me $325 to repair ain't that a biscuit.

Aww, man that blows. To both. Sorry, bad pun. Anyway, hope she's got some ***** now. And yeah, you really wouldn't notice a difference at low RPM simply because you're not making any real boost. That's the sucky part of a centri supercharger. All that boost is waiting for you at redline, not early. So get on it, and see if you notice a difference then. :D

Under normal driving the car won't really feel any differnet. So yes that is normal. But when you get on it you will see the difference. Sorry hear about the install and your front bumper though.

It's perfectly normal, because the s/c boost works based off the engines RPM/load on the motor. So you driving normal is saying you're keeping the RPM low, and not putting much load on the motor... so your not going to feel a difference unless you dig into the pedle a bit, is what im saying.

$2295 (thats including tax) for the s/c. $857 for labor. the grand total comes to $3152.
so basically its like buying the s/c at old price and getting free install.
