seems to me I saw info awhile back that showed ( actual results ) where the stock bpv bled enough to have the peak boost a couple points below the "advertised" psi it should have been. So if that's the case, and we paid 3-4k for "X" amount of boost and we aren't getting it without changing the bpv......... there could be enough of an argument there in our favor if they tried to void warranty on that item alone......
just thinking out loud, that's all...

It takes me like 30 minutes to swap the BPV, so I'm not even gonna bother arguing lol

Yeah, I removed the airbox, the piping to the blower, disconnected the bypass return at the blower and then removed the piping from the blower to the throttlebody with the BPV valve and hoses attached to it (so as one big piece). Swapped the BPV and slapped it all back together. TRD used cheap clamps btw, I didn't like them at all.

Helps that it's not my first time touching a car... I'm the guy that swapped his motor/tranny in his ZX2 (with a fresh set that didn't have 140k miles on it) and installed a custom built turbo setup in under 2 days... all on my own in the carport by my house using jack stands, jacks and a cherry picker LOL

edit: me after a hard day of work http://fullavit.com/content/Pictures...wap/biotch.jpg

That camaro probably had more engine bay room to work with than my little ZX2, I still can't believe the 57 trim turbo fit on it without moving the radiator I was swearing up a storm at the engine as I was trying to pull it out and get it back in

it had more room...... but there were still many "bombs" dropped and cans of beer swilled out in that wonderful summer heat. Sure made you learn every inch of a car though.
Now working on a pinto with the v8....... I can appreciate working in tight spaces

Not sure, it was the very first run after getting it strapped on the dyno. The ECU caught it real fast and corrected. As you can see, the other two were fairly consistent. Looks like TRD tuned it for daily driveability... below 4k you're in the low 13's/high 12' for a/f (makes sense, only probably seeing 2-3 psi of boost and it's just starting to build). After 4k it dips into the 11.5:1 range and way down to 11:1 by the rev limit. Very "safe" tune. Take the a/f and make it a solid 11.9:1 from 4k to 6500 and you'll see nice gains.

I am getting 7 psi with the stock BPV; I'm sure others are as well.

^^ i'm sure it's quite possible that many are fine; i just remembered seeing a sheet on here after someone's dyno run that showed boost a couple shy of advertised until they went with the 110. All it could have been was a line not tight enough, or maybe a faulty valve to begin with.
