So are you saying that a 07 kit isn't any worse or better then a 06 or 05?, and when you mean its within 10hp does that mean its higher or lower? plus the engin runs higher pressure isn't that good?

higher compression is bad for FI because it increase chance of knock. within 10hp means it produces within 10hp..higher or lower, depends on car, etc.

its the same kit, with the necessary parts modified to fit

Hmm... This and the other changes are making me think about not getting an 07 tC. I dont know, maybe I'll go with the 06?
Decisions, decisions...
Yeah, oil squirters are so bad that every factory turbo car comes with them. Horrible, just horrible...

^ Yea, Oil squirters, aimed at the underside of each piston, are added to aid piston cooling for engine durability.

Your dealer is lacking knowledge.

MAF sensor is different, manifold design is different, CPU is different, compression ratio and block are different...........

Does anyone have the 07 kit on yet? It seems to be that the change on the 07 aren't gonna be as beneficial to the turbos.. Maybe I'm just paranoid

There was one thread started by a guy with an 07 who purchased a ZPI kit. He bought it with the knowledge that he will have to tweak a few things, but other than that, no 07's are running a kit to my knowledge. Give it some time, I'm sure some will start popping out from under the wrenches.

PS....What is the new compression ratio for the 07 engine?

How hard is it to install a turbo? Is it something I can do myself, or do I need a professional shop to install it for me. I only know a few things about the engine. and How long will a turbo last...like in years? I plan to race my car alot on the streets, every light is a new race in my eyes. so the turbo is gonna get abused and used.

pardon me i still pull ricer flag, he wants to do all this stuff and he "doesn't know how hard it is to install it." and "every light is a new race" and "he only knows a few things about engines" "i plan to race on the streets (hence where i can kill myself or someone else just because i'm so googly eyed over my new turbo and flooring it everywhere)"

Yes that is a ricer, not denying I do the occasional street race but I'm certainly not thinking that every light is a new race and I have no intentions of "using and abusing" my brand new car. If he intends to race like he says he is it is just wrong and unsafe. Add the fact that he knows next to nothing about his car much less his engine and is doing something usually reserved for those with an in depth knowledge of cars so that they know how treat problems and what to look for. Just because his car is semi fast doesn't mean that hes not a ricer... trying to race everyone and redlining your car all the time is definitely ricer material... I can see it now he'll be peeling away at every light including those with grandpa driving his m3 just because he thinks everyone wants to race...
