10.5lb s/c tune - 268whp/228trq - 07/22/08 - w/ vid&dyno

I would like to hear someone getting an 11lb pulley and having a similar setup as me - so we can see the dyno graph. We know that a full exhaust with header that is 4-1, flywheel, methanol, gives you around what I got. But with some other brands of the products and 11lb pulley (it would be really nice to see).

I think things would have been fine w/ my car ..... i had engine problems ...but i think i had a very slight compression issue for about a year and then it got real bad within a few days. I would run 9.5lbs and it will be very similar to your stock but just with 20hp more. Might want to swap the pulley and also get a 007 bpv at the same time - that way they compliment each other.

-oh yeah i plan on swaping out the BPV, gotta use that extra boost rite? can't wait to see how my car pulls. my buddy lets me drives his wrx so often, and gettign back into my car is like wow, feels close to nothing in acceleration. well can't complain they are 2 different cars.

Im thinking i was running 228whp with 9.5 lbs if i remember correctly w/ the trd tune.

^if you dont change anything but the pulley you should get about 8-11whp per 1lb boost. i added the eman ult and 10.5lb pulley at the same time ...and also my custom intake.
nah - my s/c is out. i had two of them and have fun - now i am thinking about going turbo but im not sure what i want to do. if i can find a better tuner i might put a turbo on w/ my friend and then bring it and get tuned. ive been thinking about that since i took my s/c off ....so that has been monthhhsssss but im really thinking about it cause the car just isnt fun to drive anymore. as it gets hotter things are surely getting cooler. but we shall see - i dont want to talk about future plans yet cause i dont know if im going to go with it. we shall see.

Im ressurecting this thread after an 8 month slumber. Jwaggz if ur still around i got a couple questions bout ur old SC setup and the SC in general.
Just curious as to why ur "sc is out". Did it blow with the 10.5 pulley on there?
So, i thought going any higher than 9.5 pulley air inlet temperature would become way to hot up near redline. Was ur meth injection always running to prevent this issue or was the 10.5 just safe enough temperature wise to run dry near redline.
I bought my tC brand new in 05. Ive had the SC for about a year now bone stock. My plans for it are minor but include a 9.5 pulley, modified injen cai, s-pipe, and axel back exhaust. I just cant deal with rasp so i refuse to buy a header (i realize this will hold me back hp wise). From ur extensive sc experience, how much whp should i have and if im not doing a header is the s-pipe even worth it?
I'd love to opt for the for the 10.5 pulley however i dont wanna mess with meth injection. Should i just forget about it then?
Lookin foward to ur response, thanks man.

my ring blew and had to swap my engine - when the blower came off we noticed that the s/c bearings were 1/2 gone - i wasnt ready to spend $$ so i decided to swap the engine and wait things out instead of rushing into anything. I have my turbo kit which will be going in in a month or so.
The methanol is good but only use methanol and water .... Because your not gaining huge amounts, unless you tune on methanol, then i wouldnt get it. Its cool to have to keep numbers more consistant on hot days ...but its not needed with our setups.
For the boost, i would keep it at 9.5lbs but if you have new bearings then i would get the 10.5 or 11. I dont like more boost then that with the s/c because of the engine abuse. Keep your tune safe and call it what it is. This will be my first turbo owned and it should be as fun as my s/c was (i had a good time ...had my car for a while now).

yeah i replaced the bearings on the pulley side and left the blower alone. i used it for about 8000 miles. then i rebuilt my first s/c with gompka shaft and bearing set and been running that one since. the s/c i got from you is sitting in my garage as a spare all ready to go if somthing happens i can just swap s/c. btw is this the s/c that made 268whp for you?

^ if i still had the blower i would have done 100% the same thing - good job. im glad you did all the right things. Get the extra blower, rebuild it, sit on it ....and swap after a few years ...and redo the other one. good job man. Yup, that is the blower but that was also tuned with intake/header/exhaust/methanol
