oh yeah... that's right weight means nothing! fact is stock tc's are slooooooooowwwwwwwwww and they're not very unique looking in my opinion. if i had a need for a 2-door coupe i sure as hell would never get a tc. i would much rather drive the civic si door wedge hatchback than a tc. you can boast about ur stock hp, but if you can't race, ur a waste.

tail light paint is cheap azz poser tint.
and, i'm pushing atleast 130hp with all my mods. so, if you calculate power to weight ratio at 130hp @ 2340lbs you get .055 and tc 160hp @ 2905lbs you get .054. add a freaking clutch that holds 170% over stock and someone that can do a decent job at utilizing what he's got, then the math all adds up. i never said i blow out stock tc's. i said i beat them.
and all of you who's going to come back and say show me the dyno numbers, i don't have them. not worth spending the money for dyno time yet. but before i swap motors and boost, i am taking a baseline.

Stock tC's are pretty decent with a decent driver. Hp this Hp that... What really matters is real life numbers. You can't account for torque curves, drag coefficient, and what not with just numbers on paper (or a screen for that matter).
A decent driver in a tC gets mid to high 15's in the quarter mile. Add an intake and drag radials then the tC can reach high 14's or low 15's. The tC is not as slow as everyone makes it out to be. After that if you add a turbo kit, full exhaust, and a decent tune then mid to high 12's are very possible.
I would love to see a xA in the 12's with a stock block. Heck even a heavily modified 1nz-fe xA would have a hard time breaking 12's. With a tC having 900cc's more in displacement really makes a huge difference. My personal feeling is that there is no replacement for displacement.

I'm just pointin' out an observation...
I'm not tryin' to single you out, but how is it that you had 125 hp on the first page of this thread, then you all of the sudden come up with 130?
And I will agree with you on the weight issue, but the 500 lb. difference that you stated "could" be overcome by the higher torque number of the tC. Remember, the tC has a glass roof that no other in it's glass offers. I'm sure if the xA had a glass roof, the weight difference wold be smaller.
If you had somethin' legit like the dyno numbers you mentioned, or even better - timeslips - you would probably have more supporters than hecklers.

one more thing, compression on the xA motor is too high for boost so that wouldn't be an option. So now that brings up a question, what motor would you swap into the xA that would reasonably fit??

OuterHeaven mentioned something, drag coefficient, the tC would cut thru the air with less resistance than the xA so once you get upwards of 50+ MPH, the xA may have a harder time gettin' thru the wind resistance... hmmm

125 or 130 you figure it! aem cai, ur crank pulley, greddy sp2, ingalls torque damper, tb spacer, dc headers, cluchmaster stage 3. redline gear oil, rp sytnh, trd oil filter... i'd say 125 to 135 is a good estimation. and the engine im swapping is.... a 1nz-fe with wiseco, port and polished heads, crower rods, greddy turbo, greddy intercooler, emanage ultimate, kaaz lsd, ur or fidanza flywheel plus what ever else the tune and motor shop recommends. yeah, you're right about displacement. but it's still sad that even w/o a turbo or sc i can take out stock tc's. click here to see that i ain't some pimple fluck dip schtick talking out of his azz:

hmm.. if i was in the market for a xA, I would of bought a honda fit... lol at you and your car.. beating N/A tc's.. suuuuurreeee...
you have whats called the "cavalier" complex, also refered to the "cobolt, neon, rsx, civic" complex..
guess you always have the bigger, better, faster (wait.. no wait, slower, not better, and cheaper) ride eh?
FWIW my rc51 makes more HP that your little xA, has less displacement, and weighs.. oh I dunno, 440lbs, soaking wet?
Your xA is nothing than a honda fit wanna be.. sorry..
LOL at your "build" process and mods.. hahahahahahah..
