That airbox looks like a liquid carrying box; almost like a resovior of something...and why is the tubing from that box to the throttle body wrapped?

im tempted to get the S/C once its released for the 07's...but im not sure its worth it for around a 40hp gain. for me, the warranty is really the most attractive/reassuring part of dropping that kind of coin for the 40hp gain vs. going turbo and voiding it.

i wish TRD would stop with the false HP advertising on the supercharger.
160Bhp + 40hp doesnt equal 195hp at the wheels. its closer to about 60hp then 40hp.

i know but people are dynoing about that much to the wheels after just the supercharger.
if it was only a 40hp gain then people wouldnt be dynoing that high cause the tC doesnt dyno 160 at the wheels stock.
they underrated it and they shouldnt have cause people keep using that against it.

I actually have a question about the supercharger they offer at the dealership. I went and test drove one tonight that is supercharged and drove a reg. one about 6 months ago. I wanted to get the comparison of the 2 before deciding. But my question is ... they charge you $4500 to drive off the lot supercharged. Is the $4500 really worth the 50 extra horsepower?
I'm stumped. Help

^it depends.. I turbo for that much can put out twice the horse power but you dont get anything more than a one year warranty and your scion warranty is preety much worthless because they will blame any problems on your turbo.

Its worth it for some safe power, but not worth it if you really want a lot of power..

It'll will feel different but you'd probably get tired of it after a while.. I can't see myself paying that much for to make my car still not as fast as a stock 350z...

Well - first - are the s/c'rgd tcs being made with the tc or does a dealer get the tc then install the s/c? If they get the car then install the s/c get the car without it ... go to trdsparks.com and buy the sc for $2860 and get it installed at some dealer near you for around $550-800

or you can go to www.toyotaterritory.com and get the supercharger for $2300 and get it installed at a dealer.

also, you cant buy the supercharger and the car at the same time unless you have enough cash with you to pay for the supercharger + install when you go order a tC. its only an"over the counter option" AFTER you have gotten the tC, toyota/scion is not allowed to finance the supercharger with the car.

the only way you can finance the supercharger with the car is if you get a car loan from a bank or credit union.
