Last I saw on FB is he modified the manifold to run 2 gates for boost by gear. I think it's running again, but haven't heard much since then. Perhaps out enjoying his work.

Well, not entirely accurate. He added the second wastegate to get down to 6 PSI on 2step on his 35R. We did not design and intend for the Alpha to run a 35R at 6 PSI. (That's a waste quite frankly) Simple physics will tell you the lower the boost on the bigger turbo needs more wastegate to help bypass it to keep the boost control in check. The more boost you run, the less wastegate you need. World did this with their "Punisher plate" essentially eliminating the boost controller and letting the turbo make as much boost as it wanted.

**Dave was running open downpipe as well which promotes creep.

Just going by what he said on FB. Instead of paraphrasing, I'll just cut a conversation.

Hands down the most complete build on sl. The attention to every last detail is something you rarely if ever see.

Boost by vehicle speed. I spoke to Dave about how to solve the problem on a few occasions and what he wanted, adding the gate to get down to 6 PSI on a 35R during 2 step was the only option with open downpipe.

We have quite a few Alpha manis outstanding and nobody whom has an exhaust has issues with boost control including Steve's car at Vinny 10. He runs 13, 21 and 24.5 PSI for his car. Control on all is fine. He has 3" straight pipe connected to the 3" s-pipe.

I feel you on that. I guess more like can't wait till I reach a breaking point and enjoy the vehicle for a while before the next level.

Love hitting milestones like good track and dyno times. But its also nice experiencing a faster car for a while before you get used to the improvements.

Btw paul. I vote the alpha come like this or at least have the option to. I would have to make the switch.

We can easily add a gate if you wanted, however we will not produce any IC kits with the Alpha to leave the customization as wide open as possible. So if you want something like this you can do it, if you wanted custom water to air IC, you can do it etc.
