If I have takers I'll set up a new thread with the group buy
Why would you buy 9:1 when you can get 8:5.1?
Why? Hmm maybe because I dont want to loose power and have to crank more boost to make it up.

Be nice to keep some factory power then have the boost at 12.. more power then u would have with the same car with 8:5:1

You guys got to remember lowering the compression down means less hp

True, but you must remember also lowering the compression down means Ability to Run More Boost....Greater hp than your higher compression can produce.

yeah...true. But really the most boost you will be able to get with the s/c is about 14-15psi...That is the smallest pulley you can get from NST. Which you can run on 9:1 with a good tune. So for s/c people these are good...especially with the way the supercharger makes boost.

After tearing apart a Chevy 350 last night in Power & Performance Ia, and I can remember what our rods look like, the rods from the 350 put ours to shame... hahah

i dunno maybe that was OT (offtopic) but still, our rods arent THAT good.

okay, back on topic...

Carrillo now makes rods for the tC.
A-frame can handle 350whp
H-frame can handle 500whp
These are of course conservative numbers but you get the point.

Okay, then... what would be a complete and realiable engine build up? Bearings, rods, pistons? What else? and also the most cost effective way for so, and seeing the engine will take maybe high rev and making around 240whp to 300whp? What items should we be seeing in this engine build up list? I didn't want to start another thread just for this Q, so I posted this here cause it is about the 2AZ internals.

I started to make a search and I found out that Titanium Valve retainers don't tend to last a lot, and that Alu-Mag valve retainers do last. The I searched the Ferrea Valve site, and found out that the retainers are for FI application, and I thougth if they could still be used for N/A?
