I would have no issues getting work done by PTuning.
I respect them immensly.

But I have a relationship with turbotoyotas and they have NEVER let me down. I have the utmost confidence in Todd.

Reffering to Todd's relationship with ERL as the "middleman"...I'm not certain of ERL wanting to deal with vendors and not individuals, but in my office (completly non-automotive related) we have vendors who send work offsite to companies that we could deal with directly if we wanted to, but it is easier for us to deal with one company for all our needs and have them deal with the multiple vendors for the other stuff...it's just easier for us.
It also lends for quicker turn around as those other vendors have a reputation with each other and knows how each other likes their stuff done, whereas when you deal with a new company (on individual) it is more likely that you will have mixups in communication at the very least...

i dunno man

i hadda take my TT kit off

between the long long wait

the crap pipes that hang unacceptably low

the bov that hits my hood

not sending the spipe out that was supp to be included with my kit

and the ugly pipe going across the engine bay, I just hadda throw it out.

I got a Dezod kit goin in next week...all brand spanking new parts with some tricks up my sleeve!

dezod fTw

should have bought the V2.1 kit with new pipes. better performance.

Not true at all....

the manifold doesnt make a HUGE difference at the boost levels im going to be running.

Dezods kits are well built...tested with time..and perform to expectations...

most of all they shipped my parts in 3 days and the piping wont scrape the ground

^it doesnt matter...a ramhorn vs. Log at low boost
is not a big difference

Example: on 6psi i made 247.5whp...
Mr meaty with a tube mani made 252 on 5lbs

Not a big difference

The turbo you run is the heart of your kit

im not trying to argue with ya on anything but imho making 5hp more on one less psi is actually pretty nice if you think about it....i mean its no huge thing but it is interesting.

anyways i thought we wher talking about erl built blocks....id personaly like to hear any info folks have about em and their experiance.

Well...it's not just max power...it's the delivery of power and the RPMs at which that power is deliverd. But yeah, at 5psi, you are not going to see teh full benefits of an EL manifold.

If all you plan on running is 5psi, or if you hae an automatic, a log style might actually be better. But then again, those guys will not be building their motors, which is what this thread is talking about...

My motor was built buy ERL through Todd...... there was no miscommunication problems.... Todd made things as low pressure and comfortable as possible...... and as a Mech. E. I can tell you the work done buy ERL is impecable..... TT ftmfw ... Todd is great.... if you are having a problem with Todd lets be honest its probably out of his control.... he wouldnt purposely delay shipping or poorly design something.... that would just be ludacris from a business standpoint..... but these things happen to all companies...... how many of us have taken our tCs back for recall warranty work??? I dont see anyone complaining about that!!! Point being even the largest companies with the best designers in the world(like Toyota, Nissan, Honda) have issues..... thats just the way things are....
