Man the day a team were to chose me as a driver I would be grinning from ear to ear. Ill keep hacking it out though the grass roots.

 

IIRC team DG has already like 5-6 drivers. The youngest being Stout whom is all but 18 and a true mastermind behind the wheel.

Robert Stout
2006 & 2007 produced great results, while it was Roberts first two years of racing he made the most of it. He was nationally ranked in the top 20 out of 250 racers in his class, competed in 82 races netting him self 49 top tens, 29 top fives, 18 podiums, 5 wins and 5 poles.

In 2008 Robert moved up to cars and full size road courses. In his rookie season he continued his winning ways and in the 16 race season he recorded 11 top tens, 10 top fives, 6 podiums, 4 wins and 5 poles. After competing in a limited schedule Robert finished 3rd in the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Midwest Region points and 4th in the Great Lakes Region.

Robert has trained with Kevin Krauss, Doug Smith, Jonathan Miller and Stephan Bastrzycki, who are some of the top driving instructors in the country. Kevin is in charge of the driver training and program development program at the Autobahn Country Club. He is also an instructor and the Bondurant Driving and Racing school. After spending just 3 hours with Kevin he had Robert up to speeds of 140 MPH in a full bodied Shelby Mustang at the age of 14. Robert was given the green light to practice at the track for the rest of the day with no supervision.

Robert worked with Linear Motorsports in an effort to be as competitive as possible. Linear Motorsport is owned and operated by Steve Welk WKA Constructer series Champion in the Professional ICA class. Steve was a team driver for Paul Tracy’s karting team and competed in two world Championship races as a team driver for Birel racing chassis in Europe. Steve is currently a driving instructor at Skip Barber and has sixteen years of successful racing under his belt. Steve is joined in his efforts at Linear Motorsports with Mikey Verhagan. Mikey’s a Data Engineer and is currently a Mechanic for the Active Motorsports Toyota Atlantic Team and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Team Rahal, Kenny Brack, Alex Tagliani and Paul Tracy.

2009 was a break out year as Robert ran his first full season in cars. He won both the NASA Mid-West and Great Lakes Regional Championships in the Performance Touring A division and won the NASA PTA National Championship. At the year end awards banquet he was presented with the NASA Great Lakes "Driver of the Year" award to cap off an incredible season!

His 2009 season netted him 15 Wins, 17 Poles and 16 Podium finishes and three Championships in 20 starts.

2010 looks to be a very exciting year as Robert will join forces with Dan Gardner and the factory Scion team to run a full season in the SCCA Pro World Challenge series! Eight weekends and 12 races against some of the best drivers in the country!
