I wish I could say what caused it. I wish I would have listened to my parents and some of my friends over even getting the kit, I wish I would have traded my car in for an EVO/Sti/350/s2k.

None of that now. What is going on now is that I have to pay about 3500 to get my car fixed. I will be going back to NA and selling the kit to pay for my repair bill.

I am mostly scared something like this would happen again as well and if it did happen there is NO WAY I would be able to afford another fix. At that point I would be better off throwing my car from a cliff.

Hang in there man I felt the same way and still do at times. Just don't let it get you too down. It's only a car and only money and not worth making yourself miserable. I know it's hard to get over it but try to focus on something that will make you forget about it as much as possible.

I'm still scared after building my block and everything that when I get it to the dyno to tune that it will blow up again or something else will happen to it. Like I said try not to let it get to you too much. If you do it will start interfering with other things in your life and can become a bigger problem. Hang in there.

I know, I know. But I worked 2 jobs 70 hrs a week just to save the money to be able to buy it and now this happens.

It is all just really frustrating at this point.

"anurok", sorry to hear about your loss. Your car was healthy enough to drive all the way to AZ. After turbo installed then kaboom the next day. Anyone who says its a faulty engine need to go hang themselves. Dezod at minimum should cover half of the bill to replace your engine.

Why wouldn't I be around. My car is still boosted no?

That was a good while ago remember, you didn't expect me to not buy/rebuild another one did you.... I don't technically have a ZPI kit anymore, since the turbine is slightly different. I have to re-do the piping going from turbo to Intercooler now though, cause it does not line up exactly the way I want it to.

All that I hope is that if I do turbo this again later on is that the engine does not blow once more.

I am at a very tough cross roads as to what to do with my car situation now at this point.

You could trade the turbo kit for a supercharger? Is Dezod planning on doing anything?

We are trying to work something out KickCaf...

The total parts and labour from Corner 3 Garage is 1900 and the cost of the engine is 1300 which puts me at 3200 bucks for the engine replacement.

That is a hell of a lot of money =/

I am still debating on if it would be better to install the turbo now, later, or at all.

This is all very stressful for the most part. I just don't want anything to happen to this engine that I am putting in.

We will see what will happen...I am getting the car back on Friday/Sat...the turbo will sit for a while as of now since I can't even afford an install/guages/tune at this point.

sounds too shady, i think the motor was faulty.

Accourding to the shop and the tuner that originally tuned pauls car, says the motor was fine! Church's said when they tuned paul's car with the N/A set-up it would lean out betwenn 3rd and 4rth so he spent about an hour trying to fix that problem, so he believes it blew from running too lean when he installed the turbo, Cant arguee witht a guy the tuned the care originally, who saw the problem before hand. Also my knew favorite quote from corner 3 garage "Iv'e never seen a rod look like that,( TWISTED the rod).
