Default 400whp with a Greddy Kit???

my wife has the Greddy kit o her car, and i've replaced the injectors with lager ones, and had one piece intercooler pipes made bc the greddy pipes are junk! i have also converted the manifold to use an external 38mm EG instead of the internal junker.

i have it tuned to 270whp @8psi right now, and this spring i'm going to up the boost o around 12psi which should net us around the 330whp range. i plan on building the lower end down the road with some K1 rods, and some forged pistons. i want to kit 400+whp with the Greddy 18g

my question is... has anyone hit this mark yet?

id say at 450whp your gonna be kinda out of the efficiency range of the 18g...I can see it being possible but I also see high egt's and high psi to get there which could easily be achieved safely on a larger turbo running more near its efficiency range...say something like a GT30xx(left the end out cause with the 30 series its achievable with any trim/housing/AR etc

i'll most likely end up putting my TT manifold and SC61 turbo on her car later on anyway but i'm going to use them on my car and see if i cant knock on the 600whp door with 30-35psi first.

my wife will have a 400whp tc requardless of what turbo i put on it..lol. i'm gonna push the Greddy to 330 on the stock block, and then after we build her motor, that a whole different story

Me and you have a lot in common. Both of our women drive boosted tC's...

The Greddy 18G tops out around 350whp. You may be able to go a little higher, but the turbo or engine will evenutally go.

The nice thing about that turbo is you can directly replace it with a 20G with the larger 8cm2 housing which will make well into the 400whp range. You could even use the Forced Performance green which is a bit laggy but good for 500whp.

We will all find out the answer to this in less then two weeks. I'm running a built bottom end, greddy kit (unmodified), and AEM EMS. I'm looking for 400whp.

BTW, 18g should be able to pull off 400hp.

Coming Soon if I don't hit 400.
TT Replacment manny external wg and downpipe
Garrett GTsomething (haven't decided yet)

Paul, you should have no problem hitting 400whp, but i would only assume you'll run a bit high boost level than others around the 400hp range. let me know how that turns out... i have decided o pull the greddy kit off of her car, and intstall the TT mani and sc61 this weekend! my buddy that welds is coming over to re adjust the ic pipes and make a new down pipe, and possibly a new intake pipe. i want to hit around 330ish whp.... anyone wanna send me a boost controller (yeah... i'm sure you will todd)
