i opted for the 2.5 tsudo N1 spipe back system with a 2.5 creative compacts spipe. figure if i ever up my setup, ill go to 3.0 then, but by that time, ill have to swap out turbine, mani, buy an external wg, then up the piping to 3

What type of power are you looking to run regularly? If less than 300whp, you will be fine with the stock pump. If more than that DD, I would recommend the pump.

Word. The pump keeps up decently up to about 300whp, but then the pressure starts dropping off significantly.

Having a stronger pump with a good FPR will keep the fuel atomizing well, which prevents detionation. That allows you to make more power with a longer lasting engine. This isn't necessary, but it's always a nice upgrade.

You definitely don't need it. I made over 300whp for a long time and never ended up upgrading.

We suggest it because it's better for the car. I'm not sure how much power you can make with just a pump upgrade, but having less detonation is always a plus.

The new Mazdaspeed cars and the 335i BMWs run 1600psi for fuel pressure! That's how they get to turbo their cars while still running hgih compression. They have direct injection, so don't expect to come anywhere near those pressure levels for our fuel setup.

less detonation, does it mean that it will richen up you tune after the upgrade or it will just improve/maintain a consistent fuel pressure thus preventing fluctuation brought by the bigger injectors and more fuel demand?

If you upgrade the fuel pump do you need to adjust the entire map?

well technically anything bigger than stock you would need a different fuel pump, because it was designed to work with stock injectors, although running 550 and 440cc with stock fuel pump is fine, i have a walbro one sitting at home just in case though..
