61mm tc versus 2004 R1
Video to come!!! we just wanted to kick off for the heck of it, He has PC3, geared, tune, exhaust.
We raced my GT47-88 1200 whp supra against the same r1 with the supra turned down to 28 psi (900-1000WHP) and I pulled the bike very very hard(one of my good freinds).
So its been a few months, I have been busting a$$ on my GF's TC to get it done. It is built and tuned by me. new toyota shortblock, Brian Crower rods, CP pistons, ring gaps set to my personal specs., custom arp headstuds, OEM head gasket, toyota rods and mains, balancer shaft elemination, 1/8 npt plug with red loc-tite, BC stage 2 F/I cams, BC valves, springs, retainers, toyota locks., thats the basics, also, AEM EMS.
First I started with 550's just to get a base tune, then 700's, now 1000's so I have had a fun time tuning it, as the aem map scaling works decent, but the jump from 700's to 1000's was awful.. I have over 10 hours in the tune just on the 1000's.. but its close now.
Anyway, that was a briefing on the car..lol.. He was out tonight, I had just tuned it on 29.5 psi and the car was very strong, so I said what the heck and asked if he would run me from a 65-70 roll (the car is a big handful at that roll). He agreed to give me the go on both races since I will lag some and I wasnt brake boosting due to spining worse. We kicked the 1st time it was very close he edged me at about 140 by a nose. (I was running 26 psi on the first run. 2nd run I was running 29.5 psi 15 degrees of timing and it was about dead even until 130-135 I started to pull him, I pulled him past 135 or so about a car. I really couldnt beleive the car did that well with the R1, He was stretched when He raced my supra, he had taken the arm off since then and put it back to stock length, so he was actaully making 2-4 more WHP tonight then last time we raced.
Thought Id share that with you guys, Im use to my supras being fast, but I was overly impressed with this TC, I thought Id share with you guys..
Im going to a dyno dynamics dyno this sunday, so I will get a good HD vid for you guys, as well as a good vid of the tc vs the r1 and the tc versus my freinds gsxr-600(we raced 3 weeks ago on 19psi and I pulled it pretty good in the tc)
BTW, car is on stock SLEEVES

Stock toyota shortblock new from toyota, I put a more coarse hone in the cylinder walls, thats the only way I touched the cyl walls whatsoever.
I have the TRD LSD, not my choice but it was one of the only ones out when we got them a couple years back. the car spins VERY bad even with a decently sticky street tire. I have M/T's for that though.
Turbo is a comp 61mm stage 4 .58 a/r back housing. The back housing is my only limitation as of now. I am putting my comp 67 TBB on tonight before the dyno on sunday.
Vids will be up soon of the bike, we are racing on sunday night with someone in the tc with me, New turbo as well same boost, so I will be making a bit more power, and having a passenger in the car will weigh me down a bit so it will make up for it. were gonna do 2 runs.
