Yeah I know the AEM EMS takes care of that. I have the Ultimate, it does that too. Stock 6250 comes so fast when you are boosted.

I thought he was saying nothing to serious as in response to my last question being....what issues has he come across running these power levels with the car/turbo setup/tranny...etc.

Nothing serious can man many things, but we don't have to elaborate on it if he don't want to.

LOL.. I wasnt saying 8200 rpm isnt too serious..lol.. I was talking about the problems/encounters with the car.

I had the issue with the BC cams as my post says, oil return, little issues. Ive got the fx700 twin. the tranny has 31k miles on it, car was supercharged since day one..lol.. ran 14.5 psi and methanol..

At 27000 miles we swaped her setup for turbo because it just was not efficient. by 28500 the car was smoking so bad under decel and it got to the point where it would smoke at idle badly (blue, burning oil)

The STOCK 2az when fresh and at a LOW amount of boost can last for quite a while, but the top ring gap is SO SO small (5 thou, in some cases) on the stock motor that when you throw a bunch of boost at it, the rings butt together and put ALOT of friction on the rings.. Thats why ring gap is so important in turbo cars(depending on boost it can be more or less) My top ring is 24 thou, 2nd 25.5 thou.. thats a hefty ring gap but works nicely under boost

leaving for the dyno now, will report back

just left the tbb 67 on it only ran 23.23 psi made 527.9 @6831 rpm about 480 tourqe q16 and 15 degrees of timing. At 19 psi we made 452.1@6363 I still have alot left in the tune!! Alot. Dynojet #s would be 565 or better. The Aem tru boost with a 11.4 spring maxed out. I forgot to put the 15psi spring in. So next week it's 30 psi.will post the sheets in a few and vids! Dezod manifold beeches. LOL. where u at Paul!!

not oil drain problems. Return line was in a bad location. Didn't like it.

ALSO I forgot to tell everyone that all dyno runs were without vvti!!!!!! I had valve control #1 off!! Until I look over everything. Pretty impressive

Exhaust housing is a .63. Ar. Pointless to run anything bigger unless you are aiming at higher than 650 past 8k!! Pointless I will actually put my .58 back on for her on the street. Example , a motor is nothing but an air compressor, my one 93 hardtop 93 supra with just. Basic Crower 272's and stock bottom end and twin denso pumps on 1000cc injectors. It had a 61mm Turbonetics with a .58 a/r at one time and made 691 whp at 7100. So to me there's no point in killing effeciancy on a smaller 2.4. It's basic stuff. If u were wanting to spin 8500 rpm and 32-38 psi on a gt42-76 in the 2az then sure you will make 7-900 hp or better but won't reach the peak boost until 7300 rpm. LOL!!

btw my tune was a touch rich past 6900 causing power to drop some but that .63 basically made peak power to redline!!

keep the 64!! It's pointless to have a 67 like me, I had the turbo for some time and just threw it on for testing. I think the best combo for the 2az is a 61mm with a .58-.63 a/r

They can yield 600 whp at 28-30 psi!! And have what it's all about!! The area under the curve!! LOL.

BTW I only have valves, springs, retainers, and cams. No other head work ;)
