I am just curious if any other ACT clutch users have a problem burning through master cylinders? i am on master cylinder #3 now and the last two have only lasted about 3 months total. am i alone or are there others with this problem?

cant say I have had this kinda problem on the two sets iv installed of that very same clutch kit (on customers cars). so far so good. It could be clutch or the adjustments made to the pedel thats causing this problem.

Do you guys you the slave cylinder extender pin? With that the clutch pedal on the tc was at its normal level and it felt like the clutch was engaging nicer. I didn't have any problems when running my act clutchs for about 10k daily.

I have a pushrod from these guys: http://speed-source.net/?wpsc_produc...lutch-pushrods and actually mine is for sale now that I mention it lol. Works nice though, i think without this the clutch is engaging way too low and I wonder if it is adding to these master cylinder issues.

I was never able to adjust the clutch pedal high enough for my taste with an act clutch, it always engaged too close to the floor, so the extended arm helped me and it was cheap so i don't think you can go wrong.

Any aftermarket clutch will make your clutch pedal engage differently, you may be able to adjust the screw behind the pedal enough to compensate. On my act street clutch and act hd clutch even with the screw maxed out. The clutch pedal still engaged too low to the floor, so i got the extended pushrod to fix that. I don't think you "need" one but i thought it was very convenient to have it, i'm not sure if it will help with the master cylinder issue some people are having though.

i have the act street clutch with heavy duty pressure plate....when i first installed it,engagement was stomped at the floor,so i ajusted the rod just enough,to where i let out the clutch like a inch or two then it starts to engage...but i dont like it too high...
