post up pics of your hp/tq curves too please. I'd really like to see the spool ability of that turbo on tc.

How do the rest of the cars function work? Does the cruise control still operate etc? Have you lost functionality of any of the stock systems?

Thanks!

Should work fine it has all the functions of stock ECU built in as in plug and play. It needs 500 dollars of tuning to run perfect though. This unit is only as good as the person who tunes it. I run it on my lexus and it does magic even to a complicated setup like mine.

Been waiting for this to come out but I didn't think it would be out so soon. Can't wait to see what it's truely capable of. And I'm positive the AEM ECU is going to be closer to $2K plus all the tuning involved.

The AEM from Lance is all plug and play and is set up to work with the Scion TC. That means that it will work with the stock Oxygen sensor, stock knock sensor, stock coils, you will need bigger injector of course and I think the kit will come with it!!! Basically all it needs is the turbo or supercharger, hehe The AEM comes with a Scion TC program built in. Minor adjustment may be necessary on the AEM for your particular setup, but all the hard work is done for you. It has the capability to do and control so many things that I will need another post just to talk about it, for those of you that know the AEM you know what am talking about.

Final Product

To many thing that are different, but one of the main one is that the AEM is a stand alone computer and does its own timing, fuel/air ratio and does not depends on the factory computer. Basically will avoid blowing your engine because does not learn and change the fuel mapping like the stock computer does. Ask your mechanic or some one that has one and you will see, I’m not an expert, just trying to help. I know there are more knowledgeable people in this forum that will be happy to get more in to details with you.

not sure if your the first one to use an AEM EMS... ive heard of a tC making 400hp using an AEM EMS... I'm not quite sure if its PnP. But anyways... I like the powergain and setup...

To expensive for me!

Where do you see full boost at with the GT35R? Any plans to up the boost even more, that turbo is crying for more boost.

I know, but this setup was done to have a good base map on the AEM for a completely stock motor using stock components. Eventually I will set up the MSD box and bring the boost up and see what happens.

Only problem I see with EMS is that you can't pass emissions in a state that does OBD II plug in testing (like NY). Only one that does (supposedly), is one of the Hondata ecu's, and well...cant use that.

AEM will allow you to run speed density so you don't have to rely on the stock MAF. It also is much more flexible in terms of tuning as it basically replaces your stock ECU. AEM has much more features than the Unichip, but it's also more expensive and more complicated to tune. And correct me if I'm wrong, but the AEM also omits OBD-II.
