sooo i connected to my buddys $4000 snap on scanner... anyway it told me i have 2 CEL's - the same old crank shaft sensor one and a fuel / o2 related one.

I also noticed at idle i have 15 degrees of spark advance... is this normal?

Does a CEL change the way the engine runs on a manual tC - ive been tuning the car with the CEL on since I dont have a scanner myself... could this be why im running so lean?

.5-.7 volts (out of 5)

I think it is because i was using the "C" map, the dezod MAF map has the voltage levels that i brought it up to.

UPDATE: Wired in the 2.2k ohm resistor, took it for a spin, runs nicely, still need to fine tune the fuel trims before i know any results. Will keep posted!

I saw your post on the AEMPower forums...glad you got it figured out.

now, was it you that was saying the guys at RIPP tuned you and was AEM certified but said the Crank Sensor thing is F/IC related so he couldnt' do anything about it?...or was that someone else?

Mr Meaty - YES that is true, Ripp blamed the F/IC said he will never tune one again!

08Superwhite - 2.2k ohm resistor between the Cam1 MAGI+ and Cam1 MAGI-

So that is 2 resistors on 2 seperate wires, right? One on the MAGI positive on another on the MAGI negative?

no, it is one resistor, you connect one end to the magi+ and the other to the magi-. it goes between these two wires

If one was a 12v+ and other being a ground, yes it would. In this case since these wires are a mere signal the resistor only creates more of a "buffer" on the signals produced by the AEM F/IC (i think thats right)

But it doesnt short out because there is not enough current to over heat a 2.2k ohm resistor.
