AEM F/IC hiccups under boost
#41
sooo i connected to my buddys $4000 snap on scanner... anyway it told me i have 2 CEL's - the same old crank shaft sensor one and a fuel / o2 related one.
I also noticed at idle i have 15 degrees of spark advance... is this normal?
Does a CEL change the way the engine runs on a manual tC - ive been tuning the car with the CEL on since I dont have a scanner myself... could this be why im running so lean?

I saw your post on the AEMPower forums...glad you got it figured out.
now, was it you that was saying the guys at RIPP tuned you and was AEM certified but said the Crank Sensor thing is F/IC related so he couldnt' do anything about it?...or was that someone else?

If one was a 12v+ and other being a ground, yes it would. In this case since these wires are a mere signal the resistor only creates more of a "buffer" on the signals produced by the AEM F/IC (i think thats right)
But it doesnt short out because there is not enough current to over heat a 2.2k ohm resistor.
