yeah...the F/IC will draw power from your laptop, so it SHOULD hold the map that you put on there...but I'd burn it on a CD or put it on a thumb drive or something just in case.

and like the "white" ranger said...just follow the prompts...but the f/ic has to be installed on your car in order to do the calibration...

aen...there is no white ranger...

no...that's not what I'm saying at all...I'm saying that it needs power to LOAD the map, which it SHOULD draw from the USB port...once it's on there, it should stay.
The reason I say it should is because I thought it worked, but when I sent it to my first tuner, who was completely unfamiliar with it, he said it wasn't there, but I think he just overwrote it accidentally.

The other thing is that it must be connected to your car to do the calibration, but you don't need to do the callibration to load the map.

I think your just starting to get paranoid! RELAX! everything will be fine...

yea i was kind of disappointed in the #'s too but he said he didn't want to do more cause he didn't have a logger to keep an eye out on the fuel trim, load etc .. but since my car is acting up he going to retune it for me and hopefully ill get better numbers ..........
