aem fic will not connect
ok, well i bought the fic used so i have no disc, i downloaded all the programs off of AEMs forums. Im not so sure i downloaded what i needed to, but my question is when i plug the fic to the usb and open up AEM Pro v1.0 it says "failure connecting to ecu", AEM injection monitor also displayes "disconnected. I just want a way to view and track real time boost, af/r, ect...ect...and log the data also, if thats an option. I am going to simply remove all the programs, and maybe someone on here can walk me through what the "only" programs i will need to download are, how to communicate with the fic(ecu), and what options these programs offer to me....
p.s., ive searched not only scionlife, but google searched as well, and couldnt find an answer in laymans terms to simply tell what programs are needed and how to communicate.

Start here:
http://www.aemelectronics.com/articles.php?tPath=3_5_4
The FIC software you need first is here:
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,22476.0.html
With this you can re-flash the FIC, tune, monitor and data log. You can then import data logs into AEM Pro. There's a lot more info at the AEM forums and their website has DIY vids that walk you through everything. GL

the tune is on the fic...you can get your tune off of your fic and onto your laptop/desktop. what you do is open up a map on your pc (base map or a cal someone has sent you) then click connect to fic, a box will pop up saying that the cal on the pc does not match the cal thats on the fic, there will be two buttons on the right saying "to fic" and "from fic". click on from fic, this will overwrite the cal you opened on your pc with the cal thats on the fic.
however your tuner could have put a pin number on the cal, if so you will need to get that pin number from him before you can open up that cal.
