Default AEM Performance Electronics now part of the Scion community!

ScionLife Community,

My name is Ed and I'd like to introduce myself as the representative on behalf of AEM Performance Electronics. Any questions you may have regarding our Performance Electronic products, please feel free to ask away, we're here for you guys. We're very excited to be part of the community and think this will help bridge the gap between the hardcore tuners and do-it-yourself weekenders.

We are aware that the F/IC is very popular amongst the tC community. We have just recently released our complete Plug'n'Play package for the 05-06 Scion tC Race Car.** (Part Number: 30-1960) The great thing about this kit over what's currently out in the market is the hours we've put into creating a start-up calibration that is KEY to properly setting up the F/IC for not only power but most importantly drivability.

Other key features include:
- Plugs directly into the factory harness. No rewiring necessary.
- Includes start up calibrations.
- Enables MAF-clamping/ recalibration.
- Runs in conjunction with factory ECU. CAN-BUS not affected.
- Among the only piggyback systems which can decrease pulse-width, allowing larger
aftermarket injectors while maintaining proper air/fuel ratios.
- 64kb of internal data logging.

For more general and technical information about the F/IC, you can visit our forum found HERE

We also are now producing videos in-house of our products to help you, the end user, better understand how to setup max maximize performance. These video's can be seen HERE

Again, we are very excited to now be a part of the Scion community. We would love to answer any questions you may have on any of our products.

Thank you.

Ed

Thanks guys.

Regarding the training, our factory training is currently being revamped for to include new Series 2 EMS/AEMTuner software. If you would like to properly learn how to tune any vehicle, I would definitely suggest EFI101 (www.efi101.com). It's very important to build up your foundation before going out and trying to tune a vehicle.

Just as a reminder, the courses we offer does not teach *HOW* to tune. It is assumed that you already have the base knowledge and understanding of tuning EFI vehicles. Our course is provided to help those that want to get a better understanding of our software.

Hopefully our car isnt to far down on that aem ems series 2 list we really need a better tuning solution for our cars. the motors can make the power but we need catching up in the ems department, alot of these piggy backs are band-aid fixs. Alot of us have been boosted for some time now and love are cars and really want to step up our game but dont have a viable tunning solution. DBW control and a solution with ac would be nice being that our cars are can bus.

x3. I'm in the market for a standalone, and I'm leaning towards the new Dezod box. But a Plugnplay AEM EMS Race Box would definitely steer me in that direction!

Welcome Ed, im glad to see aem on the boards.

now with this new fic have you guys cleared the little bug about the fic having issues with the cam and crank sensors with the tc? We all have been using the resistors on the cam and crank wires which has been working out quit well but like to get your input on it.

I love my F/IC.

My only gripe is about the internal datalogger size. I wish you guys would come out with an update module to allow for more internal datalogging memory.

id like to see them make it were you can do more than one data log in one session. in other words do 3 or 4 runs, datalog em, without haveing to stop and download each one before another run. Make sense?

Thank you, glad to be here. Our current harness that is shipping with the PnP Kit does not have any resistors built into it and from our experience does not need any. We just had an 05 tC in here a few weeks ago that tuned out just fine with the harness that is supplied with our kit.

Maybe if you can get me some more information on why people are doing this mod, I can have the engineers take a look into it.

We are including a PnP harness so you don't have to go out and buy a 3rd party harness and also documentation on factory MAF data so you can properly set your MAF clamp.

I will definitely bring this up to the R&D department.

This is limited by the hardware. The next time there is going to be an update, we will definitely take this into consideration.

Thanks for all your comments.
