Default AEM Wideband problems any suggestions.

Ok I got a Wideband AEM Gauge for free that was supposed to be working.I installed it and it stays at 14.7 constantly.I couldn't find anything on this site so i searched the web.Seems to be a common problem but couldn't find any answers. Is there a way to reset it?I found the directions for it online but wasn't any help.It powers up goes through a test sequence and then stays at 14.7 any help is welcome.Thanks.

What exhaust do you have, how many cats, and exactly where is the sensor located in proportion to the cats?

It is a little far back which may affect the accuracy but it shouldn't stay at 14.7. Follow aen's advice and call up AEM. Sounds like a warranty claim if it is indeed wired correctly.

Sensor may be dead. A very common problem for AEM units. You can try pinning out the connections to make sure you are powering up the sensor and it is giving a signal. If so it is a continuity problem.

Sensor issue from the sounds of it. 14.7 is the default setting the screen reads when just power is given to the gauge regardless of weather or not the sensor is attached. Make sure your little clip connector is connected to the sensor, make sure your little clips on the back of the sensor is also in place as well.

I have not had any issues with the AEM widebands out of the box. They are actually pretty good.

Everything secure.Im going to get my meter out and check for continuity make sure there is no broken wires. If not I'm going to guess bad sensor.Anyone know where I can just by a new sensor or do I have to go email AEM and play hee haw with them?
