Then something must be completely wrong with my pipes. We did mock ups of everything possible before putting the couplers on, and the way I have it, is the highest possible position for the hot side (for my pipes).

Are your pipes touching within the couplers or did you just slip them in?

Regardless, I'm not making any adjustments. I've scrapped my pipes a few times on my driveway, but it's only scratched the paint. It should last me at least one more year, which is when I plan on parting out.

The hotside pipes are touching inside the coupler. We got the lower hotside pipe as far into the coupler as possible.

I'll put it this way, my friend who was helping me do the install, basically tells everyone at meets or shows to "whatever you do, never buy anything from turbo toyotas. ultimate failure."

That's how angry he was getting at these pipes and their lack of engineering.

Even before putting any couplers on, it was almost impossible to get the pipes to actually line up straight. The only way they would be perfectly straight (how it should be), was having the upper pipe positioned inside the hood (as in, make a hole in the hood), which would get the lower pipe above the jack point....or have the lower pipe be about 1.5" away from the ground and have the upper pipe like yours. We chose the middle.

If I had the money to start over, I would throw out this stuff and go with the PTuning kit. After seeing how flawless the fitment was on Fox's car, I almost cried.

But that's not happening. No more money is being spent on my car. I'm saving up for a Harley.

That's why I've given up on my car. I could easily milk out another 25-30WHP with a new downpipe, manifold, etc, but it's just so much more money for barely any gain. That's why I'm going to move onto much bigger things, something that comes with more than enough HP and TQ from the factory.

I lost all faith in tuners when I saw that one xB put down 300+ on 8psi, with only a 2.5" exhaust. They HAD to have been running a 15-20% correction factor on that dyno.
