hahaha thanks chris! I'm just really glad that my downpipe isn't having butt sex with my oil pan anymore. Atleast anything that needs to be fix, I can fix it on my own at an exhaust shop.

It should be fine. I didn't do the coating myself, Todd did.

I'm going to leave my dp raw, there is no way I'm taking that flange off again. And even if I do, I'd probably would scratch off all the coating when i try to get the flange back on.

dp looks better kev, but you can always disconnect it from the vband connection not the 4 bolts if you decide to have it coated

what turbo are you running? usually a 2.25" will get get you efficiently close to 500hp, a 2.5" about 600hp.. so a 3" IC pipe will be an overkill for you, IC pipe is something you dont wanna over kill or you will just lag without benefit..

Can any of you guys with oil pressure sensors give me how the car is suppose to be have in gear, out of gear, ect psi wise? I'm not really familiar with how much oil pressure there is suppose to be at idle, in gear, out of gear and what not.

I just drove my car around for a bit, and it stalled while rolling three times inbetween shifts. doh. I need to finish up this exhaust and get a tune quick. I miss my car.

oil temp vary with temp but shouldnt make much difference between shifts... hot idle is like 8-12, cruise is around 50-70psi.. the stalling should be on the tune not the oil pressure

Awesome. hot idle i'm at about 10-12psi, cruising in gear i'm about 40psi. In gear off throttle i think i'm at 20psi.

and yea, the tune is the stalling problem for sure. I'm heading back to school to start studying for finals, this project will be continued next weekend.

the psi level will go up in revs...doesnt matter what gear your in....mine went like this

first start on cold engine (didnt matter the ambiant temps out unless it was extream 40-30f...ect)= 67-70psi

few seconds after first start (idle)= 60psi

gentle excel to 3000rpm after 2-5mins of running= 60psi

hot idle= 9-12psi

running hot at 3000rpms= 40-45psi

yeah, i have the blue. I'm going to have my buddy do a street tune for me, and then we're going to hop on a dyno later this month and do a 9 psi tune.

hey, question for the fellow boosters... what is your vacuum reading when idling once the engine has heated up?

mine reads between 16 and 18 in/mm Hg... a friend made a comment that is a low amount of vacuum for an engine to be pulling. i think it might be the gauge though.

thanks

I am running a Garrett 60A/r cold .82 A/r hot T3 turbo. I was not planning on running a full 3 inch but a 2 - 2.5 inch hot side and a 3 inch cold side out of the inter cooler. would that still harm the performance ?

ok, then its probably the gauge. all vacuum lines are clamped down... i'll probably buy a new one later this month...

yes kevin, target afr's for idle are in the 14-15 range, mine jumps from 14.7-15.6 or so when idling, but its getting hotter out here

My car is running über rich. I'm at low 12s at cruising speeds. I need to finish up this exhaust and get a tune.

Have you figured out your creep issue yet josh?

the creep issue may be a faulty boost gauge... lol, i have a friend who has a boost gauge that isn't being used so i am going to see if i can borrow it to verify that the issue lies with the gauge...
