I dont think you screwed yourself. You now have intercooler pipes, intercooler, and maybe a decent manifold. The only thing I wouldn't like is it being used. I can use a turbo and tell you all day long it has 1K miles with just cleaning it up. Have a turbo shop inspect the turbo and maybe even rebuild it. Consider changing the BOV and wastegate though. You do not want to run a questionable wastegate or BOV. Definately take the turbo and have it inspected though before use.
