Good numbers, but I would expect the exhaust is the culprite of the otherwise slightly lower power.

I am unaware of ANY Megan 2.5" exhaust that exists. Even the drift spec is not a true 2.5" as it necks down with a 2.25" inlet.

It shows 2.5 but it does bottle neck at the end and that part is only .5 inch long. I now someone will say were did u get ur reading from the inside of the flang so it looks like it is a 2.5 inch exst. So thats what I sow.

The Megan Drift is 2.5" it's the OEM version that necks down. What's missing here is the type of Dyno... If that was a mustang or dyno dynamics then your making good power.

dont get upset about dyno numbers anyway. they dont mean much anyway. track numbers are the only ones that matter.

yeah, your 2.5" exhaust is more restrictive and puts backpressure against the compressor wheel, which inhibits the ability of the turbo to spool to higher PSI.

a 3" turbo-back or cat back at least should allow you to pick up another 1 or 2 psi and allow u to make power up to 6000. imo

but those numbers ain't bad at all.

I am with u the 3inch is so much better mine is catless. But lets see what it does at the track. If you want to take it to another shop with a diffrent dyno and get the #s form that. I took my car a put it on a dynojet and it made 26 more whp then on a dynopack all dyno are diffrent.

even the magniflow was listed as a 2.5, but someone measured it and a couple sections it goes downto 2.25.
Since they, magnaflow has updtaed their site to say it's a rear exit 2.25"/2.5" SS tubing, 4" rolled/slash/p-SS tip.
Would any bolt on exhaust have a 2.5 inlet at the stock s-pipe?

As I mentioned, the Megan Drift spec is 2.5 and does not shrink in size.

I honestly think those numbers are really good considering it's the basic kit. If you have an 05-06, that's pretty common for numbers. The 07+ tC guys make a lot more power with boost due to the higher compression ratio. I think with slightly larger exhaust you can pick up some hp, but not sure how much more torque you'd feel in the seat. Take it to the track and let us know how it goes!

I made 260WHP and 279WTQ at 9 lbs, but then again, I live in Colorado and went from 135WHP to 260WHP AND I have a 2.25" exhaust. Gonna go 3" and 12 lbs soon!
