the length on the gear teeth or much shorter then your average tranny (atleats from what i measured. which is why those trannys never see hi hp. it just cant handle it. I modified the gear and had a machine shop lengthen the teeth which solves that problem (going deeper into gear itself is what i mean by lengthening) it only need a little bit. from there its making sure the clearances on the actual shaft match, reheat shaft and gear, press down, throw it in a cold tub, or cpu spray, move onto the next gear.

prob going to be renting an SUV and im gonna have to go pick Mike up and bring him back down here so we can get this squared away.. btw if anyones taking their tranny out.. if u dont have a compressor your working 100x harder. It was so much easier with one. hopefully the new tranny will be in this weekend

building trannies is expensive.. and marketing to the scion comm. would be great but crap man i really cant think of many people that would dish out 2-4k on a tranny... this being a tranny thats built for high speeds, alot of tq, and longevity. hell u might as well invest in dog cut gears while ur at it for a full race track experience lol

I have a friend here that has a second gen mitsu spyder converted to 4g63 and all wheel drive from the gsx, the car is still sittin on the trailer after 3 months of us being here, just found out why. thanks. learn something new everyday.

Well maybe dezod can get ahold of the gears we want say the ones that are in Pete's ride and just cry-treat the gears and extend the teeth like you said you did Pete.

well dezod can make a bigger profit if they did it all inhouse but if they leave it to the end use then u know whats gonna happen
