Another S/C down (Selling new S/C)
I don't know familiar you guys are with me but I'm on my second S/C. My first one went out 4k miles after install with a warped oil seal. This was on a stock header might I add. Now on the breaing blew out this time around after another 4.5k miles. Nothing but a very loud, high sharp pitched howl from the main housing. I'm refusing the install on the new S/C in favor of the stock N/A setup. Sorry, just wanted to post so everyone can better track the problems of the S/C. Good luck to all you guys that still haven't had a problem.

My first one didn't wine so much but ended up dieing. The new one from the start had noticeably different sound to it, had a higher pitched wine. Even another guy in my area with a S/C noticed it before I even told him to listen for it. I didn't think nothing of it because that might possibly be what it should have sounder like since my first one ended up being a dud.

When I experienced bearing failure it was more than obvious. Very, very loud and high pitched. The now comforting rattle that was present when it was first installed dissappeared and I was eating oil at an enormous rate. On the other hand, TRD didn't even flinch when it came to replacing it under warranty. Brand new S/C was installed and ready to go. Then, 100 miles later, the famous bracket broke...

It doesn't quiet down at any point, its many times louder than any S/C I've ever heard. It just becomes more apparent as you rev the engine to accelerate.

The sound is loud no matter what you rev it to. I know the rattle goes away the second you give it some RPMs but this is different. The sound is ridiculous. I know the last time my S/C had to be replaced, they had one at the dealership in less than a week. I'm not at all questioning their costumer service, it's their product I have a problem with.
