Subject: Turbo kits request for 2005 Scion tC

Dear Sir/Madam:

As we all know, Scion's latest flagship sport compact
car tC may be the next hottest tuner car. There are a
few performance "start up" companies that are in the
middle of putting together a few turbo kits currently.
However, we Scion owners will be very grateful if a
reputable company like yours could kindly look into
the oppurtunity to develop and produce a high quality
bolt on turbo kit for tC.

If you take a looks at some online Scion forums, for
example, Scionlife.com, you will quickly discover the
potential for such product is unbelievable promising.
The persistent delay of TRD supercharger further fuels
the need of alternative forced induction system. If
you've been developing the kit, I beg your pardon.
Kindly advice me the preliminary release date.

I, on behalf of all other scion owner, thank you for
your time and consideration.
The following is from their website:

Brand: Turbonetics
Desc: 05+ Scion tC
Type: Stage II
Status: 4-6 Weeks Lead
Price: $4999.00

Scion tC Turbo Kits Include:- T3/T04B Turbonetics Turbo- Thermocoated Cast-Steel Turbo Manifold- Thermocoated Mandrel-Bent Downpipe- Turbonetics Evolution 35mm Wastegate- Spearco W.A.V.E Front-Mount Intercooler- Silver Metallic Intercooler Piping- (4) Turbo Tuned Injectors- Unichip Piggyback ECU- Turbonetics Raptor Blow Off Valve (BOV)- K&N Air Filter- (1) Case TS-1 Synthetic Turbo Oil- Install Instructions & Wiring Diagrams- All Necessary Hardware & Fittings

Price is on the high side but I believe they are reputable as they have been in the business for quite a while. Yay, one more choice for us! I will email them for more information.

how bout a dyno and that price is a bit high.....considering only 75-100hp is that at the wheel or crank....others are producing as much if not more power for $1500-$2000 less

Naa...I gotta say, the guys over at turbo kits.com are great...Jesse has helped me out w/ numerous things w/ the xB when I put the turbo on it. They have some great customer support. Jesse answers emails in less than a day!! Seems legit if you ask me, I just think that they should have waited a lil bit before advertising to bring the lead time down.

Too bad dyno is not out yet. One thing I do not sure is whether the kit is produced by turbo-kit.com itself by putting parts together, or is it actually a kit from turbonetics and available for sale at turbo-kit.com. Note the kit from turbonetics is running at 8psig too! I love the fact that it has a Spearco intercooler. Hopefully it is SMOG legal as well as it doesn't state "for off road use only" on their website.

Hey Guys,

This is Jesse @ Turbo Kits.com. I just want to let you know I am here if you have any questions or concerns.

WOW, you guys are fast. I just added this kit this afternoon! The kit we are selling is a Turbonetics Kit. So you can expect all of the quality that comes along with it.

My rep said their test car made close to 250WHP which , if you do the math is over 100WHP gain. No DYNOs yet... I actually don't think they even officially released the kit yet. A sparrow flew in my window this afternoon and told me about it

In regards to the price match guarantee, why is that shady, best buy, tweeters, a lot of places have been doing that for years.

Anyway, just letting you all know I am here and ready to help

Jesse

No, sorry, Turbonetics only makes the stage II. Besides, you don't want to go turbo without an intercooler or fuel management.

I am 99% sure Turbonetics will release the kit at SEMA and should have DYNO and pics etc then...

Stay Tuned.

For anyone who is interested in Pre-Ordering this kit we will give you a great deal to get some of these out and running

I just wanted to pop in here and offer my two cents. I have worked with Jesse on numerous things in person and online. Jesse is VERY good at what he does and offers the best prices around with the best tech help to back it up. If he tells you he will "price match" a product, he will. I purchased my turbo kit for the xB from him with no problems whatsoever with the kit or the service. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a kit for ANY car. So when anyone is ready, give Jesse or Grant a call and they will definitley take care of you...

The price is high for only 100whp IMO unless it is CARB approved for us Cali guys. And what is your requirement for a price match? Do we have to bring an ad from another source and item has to be in stock which you know is very unlikely at this time?

I thought 100WHP is a very nice gain. It is pretty straight forward across the board with stock engine cars, tC or not. The benefit is you are getting quality products with 0 fitment issues and a great warranty. Not to mention the kit can easily support 400WHP with the right tuning and engine build. So you can feel comfortable that you are buying the kit for now and for the future
