I've been debating getting an NST 9.5psi pulley for my s/c tC for quite some time now. After hearing about all these problems with the s/c folk, I'm starting to have second thoughts. I currently have the TRD supercharger, MMW header/s-pipe, DraXas cat-back exhaust and Bosch sport 110 bpv. I am hoping adding the pulley and an intake will bring me closer to my goal of 250whp So to all the supercharged people that are running the NST 9.5 pulley. How long have you been running it and has it givin you any problems? Thanks in advance

yea the NST works good on mine. It actually hit 9.5psi unlike the zpi which i had that sometimes hit 9psi. Im selling my NST 9.5 Pulley with the belt for $100 used if you're interested

Ive been using the NST 9.5lb pulley almost the since the get-go with my S/C. Using a AutoMeter CF Series Boost gauge, and at/around redline it reads 9.5psi.

hey ^^^ is the s/c legal here in cali, i mean you can get it at the dealer?? i have been debating this over the turbo, i can get a new one for about 2000. what do you guys think, this, with the nst pulley anyone know an et, or actual hp number with this pulley???

It's 50 state legal, so to answer your question, yes. If you can get it new for $2000 thats a steal, but where do you have those kinda hook-ups... thats really cheap?

But with the S/C alone you should see 195whp, or with my mods, check profile, around 240whp.

The price hes asking with the belt isn't to bad. That's a +$40 Gatorback belt hes selling with it.

^^ yep i saw his thread in the classifieds. i jus got my gatorback for about $40 and bought someone else's pulley and belt for $60 shipped. soo i have the other belt just in case something goes wrong with the gatorback belt on the road lol.

*to clarify* the belt that came with my pulley is not branded and was a little worn out thats why i bought a gatorback. i think his deal is pretty good. and i'd hop on it if it was 3 weeks ago lol.

That's because the ZPI pulley IS a 9 PSI pulley...

yea i noe, i said SOMETIMES hit 9psi. it hits 8-8.5psi mostly

Hey guys, I made 252 whp with an nst SC pulley and other supporting mods. Stock dyno was 137 so yes you will need it in order to reach or help reach your goals. I highly recommend it! One heck of a kick in the pants for cheap. Also boost depends on allot of factors, I usually always saw 9.5 psi with mine at absolute redline. I ran it until the day I sold the sc, and it went to another home and was reinstalled and still running! So in short, go for it!

You sold your S/C? I didn't know that. How long ago? And how much tQ was you putting down when you got that 252whp number? Good #'s by the way, but obviously not good enough for you to keep the S/C.

It's a $40 your not getting all 9.5psi belt. Gatorback belts have been known to have slipage issues. I went with a Gates belt.

Call NST and order a custom pulley. They can make em higher then 9.5psi, but be ready to upgrade internals, drivetrain, et cetera.

Can't remember specifically who, but atleast 3 others complained about getting slipage with the Gatorback belt. Don't know if it's due to design or what? Just info that was passed along.

But I do know im getting 9.5psi with my Gates belt, so that all that matters to me. Auto Meter CF Series Boost gage.
