Default Anybody runnin in the 13's with the supercharger

Just like the title says. I was over at a cobalt forum (just to read about competing cares) and appearently its pretty easy to get those things in the high 13's. I was just wondering if anybody has similar numbers with our supercharger.

Well considering the dezod folks are running mid-high 13s with their stage1, i dont think so. The supercharger puts out far less then those kits. Im sure if you did enough supporting mods you could, but most with the s/c dont wanna mess with their warrenty. Thats about the only advantage the s/c has over the turbo kits out.

yea i kno about the turbos. I was just wonderin how fast the fasted s/c tc goes. I remember seeing in someones sig like 240whp with the s/c and a poop load of supporting mods. So I wanted to know what those cars would run,.

nope...thats probably the most powerful s/c on this forums(around) the s/c just isnt right ....its made for warrenty and being slightly faster....its not there to produce mad power.

13s is definately possible, I dont think you can do it with just bolting it on, gonna need a pulley at least.

the sc just came out - it was proven that w/ an IC the air does get cooler and a lot higher boost pully can be used. The 11lb pully was putting out 9-10lbs w/ the FMIC. Thats a good future for the s/c.

ummm, kytc you are definitely gonna be a mid to low 13 setup when your car is done if you are running a true 12 psi pulley...I havent ran my car yet simply cause I dont have time but with some drag radials and my alternate fuel map I know I can pull out a 13.8-13.9 with a good 60' all day long.

hmm thats not too bad...perhaps a little respect is due for the SC. jwaggz82 was there a post on that info with the FMIC or something? Id like to read more on that because I thought the FMIC dropped SC psi alot more than 1-2psi. It really isnt that bad if a drop of only 1-2 pounds happens because it really enables us to run more boost on the sc.

The guy from rippmods highly advised against FMIC's with a Vortech in his thread. You're best bet is to go with either what I'm getting or meth/water injection (much cheaper)

right i read that and he did advise against it. I noticed that the cobalt has an efficient water-air cooler....anyone think it be possible to slap one on a tc if it was found in a junk yard. Those things new are expensive

Ok another question. For those of you with aftermarket pullies, is it possible to replace the original pulley if something goes wrong and get it warrantied. I remember something about a tamper proof cap or some crap when it came out. sorry for the newbie posts i kno nothin about the sc because up until now i thought it was worthless (may still, not sure yet). thanks.

Looks like I was summoned hahaha. 231 wheel right now. Will be at 240+ whp guaranteed in a short time. This is from the same dyno that I ran 137whp stock so yes, the sc is working great.

Only mods I have right now for power... NST pulley, Megan header and s-pipe, Sport 110 bypass valve.

This setup nets me 14.3's with massive wheel hop and wheel spin through second. My goal is a consistant mid to mid-high 13 by this fall when it cools down. Full exhaust, high flow cat, custom intake, custom motor mounts, and most likley going standalone in by the end of the year.
