Default Anyone ever done a custom turbo?

Has anyone ever done a custom turbo? By getting parts from everywhere into 1 big kit? If so, list the set-up and how many WHP? I'm planning on getting 350 WHP and doing the set-up Spring 2008.

I believe BlkSandPrlTurbotC is one such person that pieced a kit together.

There is a guy on yoursciontc that is doing one. Expensive, but he will probably come out with one hell of a setup. There are more of the over 25, experienced people over there for the most part (or a higher percentage of the users anyway IMO), so you will probably find out more about it over there. Dont get me wrong now.. I am not bashing anyone here, but you will find a LOT less of the trust the vendors word for all, buy it and bolt it on without understanding it talk going on there, so it is great for getting to the real answers quickly.

I think this would be a great project for many people that will teach you a lot. Too many people seem to think you have to wait till a kit comes out to get what you want. And I am not for buying a turbo kit and having it bolted on without really understanding the concepts and engine physics involved. You are just asking for trouble then.. as well as allowing yourself to get ripped off by a shady shop or getting a crappy job done by one of the may tuner shops that really know jack $#it about what they are doing. So knowledge is your best friend here!

That turbo is too efficient that why I have the boost creep problem, I am putting a bigger waste gate to off set this problem. The bigger turbine housing will make it even more efficient but the waste gate will help out and give me max HP.
